Staff at front desk is hit or miss. One guy just took forever to check people in and was snide with answers. But facilities and location and value all great.

The guys from reception were cold, at least I enjoyed the guy from Russia, he is cool. The bathroom was a bit dirty and shower area is so tiny, my room was not cleaned any day.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Sergio(Sergy?) most definitely went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my stay was excellent! Many, many thanks to him.

Good...quiet location...within easy walking distance of the metro and all major sights. Sometimes a bit noisy from other rooms...did not like the push button showers...

Amazing hostel! Prime location, very helpful staff. The hostel is clean, with a great atmosphere, and is an amazing spot to meet fellow travelers. The pub crawls that the hostel partakes in are quite legendary, and the free walking tours at 11am are icing on the cake. Only noticeable issues: the computers are slow, and some of the rooms may have a funny smell, although usually not. Ultimately I would recommend this hostel, and come back.

I've Been to a lot of hostels around the world and by far this is the nicest one I've been too! I stayed in a private room, very nice, comfortable beds, hot showers and they come and clean the bathroom everyday! I peeked inside the dorm room they seem pretty nice as well. Staff was amazing! This is totally a chill out hostel not much goes on at night, but that does not mean they don' party. They have a sister hostel a block down that does all the partying (CATS) I went to 2 pub crawls.. success

The boys on reception were very nice and helpful, they spoke good English too. Kitchen and dorms are tiny, but common areas are good. Impressed with the free breakfast. Good signal on the free wifi. Big lockers in the rooms. It's about a 15-20 min walk from Atotcha train station. Good location in the middle of the city though.

One thing that I can't stand is that the place to take a shower is too small. It's really hard for us to put on the clothes inside the room. The atmosphere is quiet good. However, there was a strange smell inside the room.

The rooms and lockers had locks where you held up a card to get in; it felt very safe! The building was very lovely with paintings and a fun colors. There was a nice free breakfast AND free computer access! The location was close the metro which was helpful!

When we checked in, the man working at the desk treated us like he was doing us a favor by doing his job so we had a bad taste in our mouths right from the start of staying here. Luckily, our mood changed throughout the stay when we met other members of the staff who were very helpful. The room was average, and the cleanliness of the bathroom was just okay, but the location was pretty good for the price. If you're not staying in Madrid long, it's worth it to stay here.

The room was really hot and stuffy. My locker key didn't work. I'm pretty sure it didn't work for my door either (my roommates had to open it everytime). I also got pink eye. Honestly, I stayed for one night and I just wanted to leave. It was cheap and the shower was very warm/ had good water pressure in the morning (I also was the first to take a shower because I just wanted to leave). I know everyone else said the staff was horrible, but they were fine (then again I speak Spanish well.)
