A nice hostel. A bit noisy at night, okay breakfast, small rooms. But a very friendly staff, very clean, central location, cheap laundry service.

The hostel is nice and it's in a perfect location, near everything. The rooms are a bit small and very hot and the kitchen is not that big.

The rooms are small and crowded, but apart from this, everything was fine. Absolutely recommended, just for 14€/night breakfast included (on friday). Good luck!

Good position, but that's about it. No natural light in the lounge/bar or the TINY TINY bedrooms (at least the one I stayed in). Guests were having to step on each other's bags to get into bed; one Power point for the whole room. Showers had nowhere to put your clothes/ towel unless you're happy to get them wet. Tiny kitchen for huge amount of people. No byo drinks, have to use their bar, or go on their expensive pub crawl. A bit of a money grab this one.

The security on the doors was so good that sometimes even the guests struggled! So most of the time people left the doors open. Great bathrooms, and spacious rooms. Breakfast was a little under-stocked at times so be quick to get in! Can't complain if it's free! Kitchen seemed a little small and hard to cook in but hostel is located near a lot of places to eat anyway. Free walking tour with Viviana was great!

Could be a bit cleaner, perhaps, but all the other things (location, staff, facilities) were just great.

Forget about Mad Hostel if you ever want to get some sleep... but if you're just there to party, it might be brilliant. Great location!

I want to say THANK YOU to all the staff at Mads for making this one of the best stays of my trip! I absolutely fell in LOVE all over again with Madrid! The walking tour with Viviana, pub crawls, water party, (non ice) ice bucket challenge and all the extra activities that the staff do are a great way for solo travelers to meet other people and make fast friends. The office staff and bartenders were really helpful with any queries or information about Madrid. Location is good. Great value! Fun

Very good hostel, it has everything a traveller needs including great staff. My only complaint is the air con system that's authomatically turned on over night - I woke up with it blowing freezing cold air on me, a nice way to get people sick. Still, one of the best hostels I've been to.

Breakfast included. Rooms have lockers to be locked with card (no lock necessary). Unfortunately rooms are really! small and walls in between room fairly thin. Common area is nice with TV, couches, tables and computers, yet I was missing a bit of daylight (no windows at all). Kitchen is extremely thinly equipped and it is almost impossible to cook with more than one person at the same time. Staff almost invisible and wouldn't be any helpful when asked about Spanish classes.

You get what you pay for. Cheap hostel. Cheap facilities. Tiny rooms. No outlets near beds. One extension cord in the middle of the room. Doors have a difficult lock system. Breakfast was forgettable. Staff not very attentive. Very young crowd. If you're 18 and traveling it's perfect. It wasnt a bad experience but it also wasn't impressive.

I had a great stay. I met many people, the staff were friendly on arrival. Breakfast and free wifi are always a bonus and as long as you don't wait too late with breakfast there'll be enough left for you! Rooms had huge lockers and each separate room is locked with a key card so it felt very safe. Property very central. Bathrooms sometimes a little dirty but wjat can you expect with such a bif hostel!

The girl that checked us in was super nice great commoon room, the rooms where a bit thigh but it was good friendly staff good location easy to get to

4-bed room was tiny, was very stuffy if you turned off the A/C, AC had to be turned on by asking the reception which got very annoying after the 1st time. Tiny kitchen, expensive pub crawls. No outside alcohol allowed in the hostel, this is ridiculous and just a way for them to make money from their bar, some of my favorite hostel memories are chilling drinking beers in a hostel common room. Free breakfast was adequate. Staff didn't seem overly friendly.
