They didn't have me booked through Hostelworld even though I reserved it a few days before. Plus, their Wifi didn't work.

Maria is super nice and she will spend time with you and even teach you a Colombian dish :)

It was very clean, very personable, and very pleasant overall. Staff went out of their way to be hospitable and helpful. The shower and bathroom facilities were nicer than my apartment's. There were a lot of young people, and the environment was very friendly. The only potential drawback might be that it was in the nightlife district of Medellin, although that may also be a perk for some. Definitely bring earplugs if you plan on sleeping before 3 AM.

While the accommodations here are spartan, the location and personnel are second to none. Maria was like a Colombian mother to me, teaching me Spanish with complete patience and offering advice on how best to enjoy our time in Medellin. With regard to location and for those who don't know the Parque Lleras neighborhood is to Medellin what Bourbon Street is to New Orleans and this hostel is right in the middle. The nearest light rail is a moderate walk away and some will want to take a cab.

Do not stay in this hostel if you need to sleep. It is situated in the centre of the Zona Rosa and the deafening noise from the surrounding discos and bars continues until 4.0 am every day. After 2 sleepless nights there we had to leave.

Lleras Park was absolutely fantastic. Being a smaller hostel it felt homely and welcoming. When the room we were meant to change to became unusable we were allowed to stay in our private room with private bathroom and not pay the higher charge. Our room was clean and spacious but a little dark. The shower and bathroom excellent and the upstairs terrace the perfect place to chill out. The only criticism was the wifi, it didn't work at all and the kitchen was tiny. Free coffee was great!

We didn't like our stay here. We arrived after an 18 hour busride from Cartagena and our 'private' room was more like a basement. No windows, smelly bathroom and you can hear the toilets flushing over your head when in bed (which were really hard) Location is great íf you like to be ín the party scene. This is just around the corner, but the music will keep you up till late. Maria is great btw but this could not make it up for us. We moved to Casa Kiwi afterwards, great hostel!
