The staff was REALLY unfriendly, the rooms were cold (we were freezing during the night!!). Moreover, there is a bar/club on the ground floor, and the music was really loud til late so that we could not sleep AT ALL. The staff did not warn us about it.

Being first stay at a "backpackers lodging" in Australia, didn't quite know what I was in for. Staff was very nice, free onsite parking, facilities were good value, great central location. Being a mid-aged sort, I was not the target audience. Below the rooms is a beer garden which, as it turns out, is frequented by local college students doing what college students do until 0330 dark. I'm all for this part of college enculturation, but preferably when I'm not trying to get some sleep.

i thought the room wasnt very clean when we turned up nothing was done also we werent offered any linen cause we werent told you dont supply any, had to sleep with no bedding

I have to say that the attitude of the staff is good and try to be helpful, but the booking organization is in a mess. The hostel called me three times to check when will I arrive, which I've told them before. And upon arrival, I found that they didn't record our booking at all and have to make a call and ask somebody else. The room is fine, enough plugs, with really small shower. But just as other comments stated, when the bar opens, it's reli noisy.

Great rooms, comfortable, nice and clean. Kitchen average clean but unacceptable in equipment (big fritche broken, no microwave, no water - what? - need to be fixed immediately or get less money from people). Common room nice and big, but some more sofas would be good, make it more comfortable. Didn't accept card when check in, staff wanted me to get money first from the city - not what you want after traveling, flight and everything, get a solution.

I left the hostel after the first night spent there because it was impossible to sleep there. There is a pub and karaoke downstairs certain nights and the noise came to the rooms until early morning. I was given back the money and the person I dealt with was very nice and understanding.
