The nicest Hostel I have ever stayed it. Very nice, clean, friendly staff. They confirmed my reservations via e-mail with directions to get there as soon as I got there. The location is very good and the hostel is very cheap. Its the only hostel I found in Syracuse, but there is no need to look at any other, this one is worth it.

Our vacation was just perfect! And this hostel is 50% of success. Because it seems absolutely new: kitchen, rooms, shower, bed linen - everything. People are very kind. The hostel situated right near bus and train station and 10 minutes walk from center city. They have open terrace and delicious croissants in the morning. Highly recomend!

This hostel really has it all. My 4-female dorm room was full for all 4 days in early May. Large secure lockers provided in dorm room, towel provided, kitchen is well stocked, staff went out of their way to help me have a good time. They lent me a beach towel and umbrella free of charge. Water was always warm. Hostel is not on Ortygia, but it is nice to stay near the train and bus stations so you don't have to carry your luggage so far.

For anyone driving or riding their motorcycle on a MEGA ITALY tour...this place is EASY to find. It's quiet and in a good neighborhood. Sami is just around the corner and a good place to eat. Good food at a cheap price. They also have grocery store around the same corner! Laundry too is possible...all in all a GREAT hostel.

The staff is super friendly, helpfull the rooms are clean and nice altough the whole place looks like an Ikea store and the furniture is a bit run down. Breakfast: Croissants and old dried out toast bread. Butter available sporadically. Dirty mugs - consequence of requireing your guests to wash the dishes.I don't mind that but please at least buy a dishwasher to heat treat the dishes as it's not really hygienic. All in all the staff really tries hard but breakfast and dirty dishes was a let down.

Owner Comment (Show)
hi there, thanks for your comment. Just a few things: 1) dirty mugs. We do have a dishwasher and every day - after asking people for washing the dishes (like in every hostel in the world) - we clean them again in the dishwasher and every morning before putting in the shelves we check them. I don't know why you found (I suppose occasionally) a dirty mug: it can happen if you take mugs from the drainer (those in the shelf are checked so they should be absolutely clean) but it should not happen, sorry about that, but next time please tell immediately the receptionist, which is much more effective than complaining later. Thank you. 2) bread is not "old", it's fresh everyday and butter+jam is always available. We finish the breakfast at 10.00, and for our guests convenience we keep it until 11.00, but after 10.00 we leave only croissants butter jam and cornflakes (after 2 hours butter melts). Sure if you come down very late you will find it "occasionally" and the bread can be a bit drier than at 8.00. Thanks again.

A great hostel! Everything was explained to me upon checking in, including what specialities I should try. Very clean and the best bathroom (I shared an ensuite with an eight bed room) I have seen in a hostel in a long time. A very well stocked kitchen also and fresh croissants included with breakfast!

LOL Hostel is one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at, it is very fresh and modern. They have a great terrace, a kitchen with the basics you need to cook included, and the showers/toilets are hotel standard. It is right next to the train & bus stations. The wifi is good, and there are great spaces to hang and be sociable. Make sure you book in advance tho, or their cheapest rates will be mysteriously unavailable! Senor Sunset ---> www.TravelFree.li

Hi Dear, thanks for your nice comment and for being here. No misteries: from time to time we make special offers for early bookings or last minute bookings and it is quite obvious that these offers appear and disappear ;)

With a ridiculous eur 16,20 earning after the portal's commissions, we ONLY provide free linen pillow case and towels, free wifi, free breakfast with milk coffee tea, daily baked hot croissants, corn flakes, rusks and bread with butter and jam, orange juice, free map of the city and 20 minutes explanation about where to go, eat and drink. We regret to inform you that the breakfast does not include fruit, sausages, parma ham and cheese. Those who think that for the price this is not enough are kindly asked to book elsewhere. Thank you very much.

Best hostel I've ever stayed in. I'm amazed that a facility as great as this, and staff so excellent, can be maintained on the relatively low room fees of a hostel -- but I'll take it! LoL is superb in every way.

that's the challenge and, believe me, it's not easy. That's why it is a great pleasure when somebody realizes how difficult can be to mantain our standards and to keep the guest at the center of our attention without cutting costs and services, in this context of endless worldwide crisis, increased taxes and illegal competition. Thank you very much for your comment, hope to have you here again in the future :

This was by far the best hostel I've stayed in. The owner is obviously a perfectionist and this shows in every part of the hostel, which I would say is indeed perfect in almost every way. Syracuse is a beautiful city, but I enjoyed staying here even just to see how a hostel could be run. Only the breakfast was disappointing, however, I would gladly have paid what I did without a free breakfast.

The best hostel that I have ever stayed. It really worthed the 22 euros per night that I gave. Also the staff there was so helpful that we didn't need to look at our city guide book at all. The breakfast is more than enough for a person. It has wifi, and if you don't have a laptop with you, you can pay there to have a sit on their desktops. It is 50 meters away from both the bus and the train station, and 10 minutes walking from each, Ortigia and the catacombs. I really recommend this one.
