It had hot water all day long, really clean, beautiful view from our window (room number 5). We would really like them to have a wine opener :).

very lovely hostel, clean and tidy rooms, and location close to train station and easy to find. We visit it during Christmas eve so we didn't see any staff here, but they left the room key for us. Very comfortable one.

We enjoyed our stay here, though expected the place to be more hospitable after the reviews we'd read. Security was given a bad mark because to leave our bags for a while after checkout we would have to leave them in the kitchen... Wifi never worked on our laptop or on the hallway computer. Otherwise a good place.

We get in the hostel and there where no employees there, only a paper note in the door asking to call for the responsible to get a password to enter. My phone was almost without batery, so we almost couldn't enter... The location is good and the facilities as well.

This was a good location for a reasonable price. Easy walking distance to all of Florence's main attractions. Having no staff available for check in all day was inconvenient, and meant that several times during our stay we had to be 'receptionist' for other guests arriving who looked a bit confused. No staff on site also meant that there was a delay in remedying problems eg internet not working for two days.

I felt like I was staying in someones home. It had so much character and was just a nice place to sleep. Finding it the first time was a little difficult but not too bad. There's the market around the corner which is really great and a really short walk from everything else. The kitchen is small but has a tea kettle, microwave, and fridge for food and they even let you have whatever is in it. The only bad thing about it was taking my suitcase up 4 floors with no elevator. But overall I loved it.

it is very difficult to find the hostel as the shop lots have 2 door numbers and the hostel only have a small name plate on the wall. the mattress is hard and old.

Locanda Daniel was lovely. It definitely does not have a party hostel feel, only 5 rooms and a small kitchenette area, but has plenty of character and is great. only two bathrooms for the 5 rooms but never proved to be a problem. I left an item at the hostel and Serena was very kind in organising to send it back home for me, wonderfully helpful and very nice. Will definitely stay at the locanda again!

was a very nice place to stay... very comfortable and clean... cant say anything about the staff, only saw them for 2 minutes when checking out as for fun well it is the low season and there was literally only 2 other people there the first night we were there and only a couple more the next night and i cant see it being a party hostel regardless of how busy it was... more of a relaxing place.. but we really enjoyed that.. only complaint was there were no lockers..

The 3 bed private had plenty of room and was very clean. The staff was very nice and very accommodating. It was very comfortable and just a short distance from the Duomo.

Thank you for a lovely stay! We loved every bit of it! :) We were well welcomed, the room was pretty and the view amazing. We had an apartment for ourselves with kitchen and bathroom. The location was very good as well. The hostel is very cosy and cute, The hostel made the weekend perfect! We have nothing to complain about and would suggest it to everyone (mainly young adults though). The staff was very kind and helpful. Thank you so much, we all loved it so much!

The location was perfect, just a few minutes of walking from the Santa Maria Novello train station. It is also just a block or two from Florence's famous leather market and only a bit further from the city center. The hostel was nice and quiet. The staff was kind enough to call a tour for me to double check if the times had changed.

We definitely recommend Locanda Daniel. Ask for room 5 if you can because you wake up to the most beautiful view of the Duomo through the balcony. The pension is close to the central train station, and next door is a very cool beer bar that is definitely worth visiting one night..

I recently had a four night stay at the Laconda Daniel in Florence, loved it. Everything was really good, although I will say that one bathroom for all five bedrooms was a little inadequate, but not usually a problem at all. Also, it would have been really nice to have had the opportunity to have some breakfast provided, even if it had been extra (cost) - I would have been more than happy to pay for breakfast as I prefer to have something to eat and drink before leaving in the morning.
