Stayed at LD one night & had a great experience. Very nice & helpful staff, the best part is it's location. Only a 5 minute walk from SMN train station & 10 mins to the Duomo. Community kitchen was nice, we also lucked out & got room n.5 which had a wonderful view of the top of the Duomo. Would definitely stay at LD again on my next stop in Firenze.

I really liked the atmosphere. Small and cosy, so quiet and suitable for families and small groups of friends. 3rd floor takes a toll if you have plenty of luggage.

great location, and we had a generally good experience. would mention that the hostel is on the third floor with no lift, and as a member of our group has a physical impairment, we did not appreciate not being informed of this prior to our booking. we were also asked to move rooms on the last night, and then were told we weren't, but then we were moved. a bit confusing. that said, great facilities and very nice place to stay.

As a group of three we were lucky enough to share room 5 with its balcony and wonderful view. The only thing that didn't work in the room was the plug in the sink! We had a great stay and would return if ever we were visiting again.

Perfect location. Very nice and clean. The only thing I would change for now is to extend kitchen facilities (there's only a fridge, tea/coffe machine and microwave oven, it would be nice to have also a cooker)...

I really liked this hostel! The best part that it was extremely close to everything in Florence, and the staff was extremely helpful.

Stayed in the 4-bed ensuite room which was in another building 250m away from the main building and there is no wifi for it. We were only told about this when we checked in. The good thing is that it is nearer to the train station that the main building but it does't console much. This place is however clean, the location is excellent and safe.

the only problem was that the staff did not speak English.

Owner Comment (Show)
I'm so sorry for the inconvenience: I was out of town and my new colleague had to replace me. She has just started to learn English, she is not very good yet but she is improving. I hope it did not cost you too much distress and that you enjoyed our splendid city. Regards Serena

Hostel was very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location of the hostel is excellent, about a five minute walk from the Duomo. Didn't have a hostel-like feeling, more home like. Would definitely recommend for the price.

It was a great experience! I stayed in the Short Stop room with my bestfriend and we had a great view of the DUomo. Great location!

This hostel was very clean and nice. Be sure to call ahead of time for check in so you will be able to get in thru the front door. We only had one problem the whole time, which was the water stopped working in the building, but by the morning time it was back on again. It was a very nice hostel and in a really great location (right around the corner from the most amazing market). I would stay here again.

Though very well located, about three blocks from the duomo and walking distance from everything interesting, locanda daniel lacks everything that makes hostels nice places to stay: the kitchen is not really one (just a microwave, a small fridge and some cups and plates), the only "common place" available was a tiny table with three chairs. Only one bathroom for all the rooms, clearly not enough. Apart from that, rooms are nice and spacious, and you have a free pc and internet.

It had hot water all day long, really clean, beautiful view from our window (room number 5). We would really like them to have a wine opener :).

very lovely hostel, clean and tidy rooms, and location close to train station and easy to find. We visit it during Christmas eve so we didn't see any staff here, but they left the room key for us. Very comfortable one.

We enjoyed our stay here, though expected the place to be more hospitable after the reviews we'd read. Security was given a bad mark because to leave our bags for a while after checkout we would have to leave them in the kitchen... Wifi never worked on our laptop or on the hallway computer. Otherwise a good place.

We get in the hostel and there where no employees there, only a paper note in the door asking to call for the responsible to get a password to enter. My phone was almost without batery, so we almost couldn't enter... The location is good and the facilities as well.

This was a good location for a reasonable price. Easy walking distance to all of Florence's main attractions. Having no staff available for check in all day was inconvenient, and meant that several times during our stay we had to be 'receptionist' for other guests arriving who looked a bit confused. No staff on site also meant that there was a delay in remedying problems eg internet not working for two days.
