we really enjoyed our stay on the lido, and liked getting a chance to explore another part of venice. although its not on the main island, transport to and from the hostel and the lido is great - regular and reliable. we had a set of rooms which was lovely and very comfortable with our own balcony. the breakfast included was also very nice. the owner was very helpful and friendly. we'll be back.

Enjoyed staying here. Room was quiet and clean. Beautiful view of the bay in front of Venice. Also a rock beach was 5 mins away. Host was very helpful gave us a map, and even leant us a magazine of current places to check out and a guide book in English. A little out of the way if going to Venice city center most days but quite easy transport taking bus stop just steps away from the B&B and then caught boat to Venice about 35mins total. Lido lovely island, nice downtown, and biking.

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel, the room was very nice and cosy, and we had a big private terrace. Marco was very nice and helpful. Just don't buy your public transport tickets (72 hours for €35 p.p.) at the tobaccoshop around the corner, the old man working there sold us 1 hour tickets, and when we went back to show them the mistake, we didn't have anything to prove. Big waste of money and a big RIP OFF.

Really enjoyable stay. Proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The room was good with a terrace with lovely sea views (ask for the terrace when booking). The village was quiet but very nice and a change from Venice centre which was easy to get to by bus and boat (midnight in the middle of Marks square, 35 mins later in our room). Breakfast basic but very nice bread rolls.

We had a wonderful stay at Locanda da Scarso. It is beautifully located and Marco was incredibly warm and welcoming! We enjoyed our daily boat ride into venice, and it was not at all inconvenient. I would recommend it to anyone! :)

Marco was very helpful and provided a fresh tasty breakfast with yoghurt, rolls and fresh tea, coffee and juice. He even allowed us to use his computer. There is also an awesome seafood restaurant downstairs which is well priced and serves delicious food. Malamocco is a very quiet small village away from the busy tourist areas which is refreshing. The only downfall is the long trip from Santa Lucia station via water boat to Lido and then via bus to Malamocco.

We had a very lovely stay here, coming home to a large bottle of water in our room every night. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful directing us to new places for exploration, and which buses to take. Transportation to and from the bed and breakfast was inexpensive, extremely reliable and easy. It is off the beaten path for sure, but a great way to have a more authentic experience. The room was clean, quiet, and there is nothing better than waking up right next to the sea!

I thoroughly enjoyed my New Year's Eve weekend at Locanda da Scarso. I had chosen the hostel on the Lido because I liked the idea of taking a boat home every day and it was very comforting to get back after a hard day's walking and taking pictures of Venice. I had a double ensuite which was comfortable and warm. Continental breakfast with excellent coffee was made by Marco the friendly owner who gave me good advice about the vaporetto and bus systems which are very efficient.
