The hostel is on the northern tip of Arran. Pros: close to walking/hiking trails to the Cock of Arran, Ossian’s Cave, and wildlife (deer, sheep, seals). Cons: a bit secluded, so reception is open only for a couple of hours in the morning and night; and there can be large time gaps with public transportation. Plan accordingly! Reception staff is so, so friendly, and facilities are topnotch. There was a restaurant-sized kitchen available for use. Feels like a B&B.No WiFi - but you’re on an island!
Loved it. Best hostel I've stayed in. Clean, safe and homely. Plus the view from the hostel is beautiful.
