If you've been to any YHA hostel before you'll know what to expect. Very clean, family friendly, good kitchen and common area. Negatives are that it's a bit expensive for a hostel and they charge extra for wifi (first time I've known a hostel to charge for wifi). The breakfast and packed lunch are over priced and there is no shop in Lochranza so make sure you bring your own food. The location is stunning, a great place to go walking or just relax and watch the red deer.
