Nice quiet hostel, very close to Keleti station, which is great if you want to catch a train early in the morning and need a place to crash for the night. There are restaurants nearby and a shop just below the hostel. Good hot shower, even though the bathroom is a bit small. It's clean and very good for the money you pay. Just pay attention to the instructions of how to get there. They'll send you those by email when you make a reservation.

If you are passenger and Budapest is your transfer city, this is then perfect hostel with amazing host.

Good staff and Nice location

Locomotive Light turned 2 first time hostel skeptics into hostel converts. Locomotive Light picked us up at the airport for 10 euros cheaper than any cab. The receptionist was friendly and suggested an awesome eatery (Huszar) around the corner. It was clean, inexpensive, and great location for training in and out of Budapest, especially at odd hours. Plus, it's located right above a cash machine making it easy to get Forints for enjoying Budapest. All four of us were pleasantly surprised by LLH.

the owner was friendly and helped us with a lot of information. nice place to stay

The hostel was very conveniently located close to Keleti station and not too long a walk from the river. The man who checked me spoke great English and provided good conversation and some good tips. The dorm was nice, no bunk beds, and each bed had a large lockable cupboard, there was a large shower and separate toilet.

Very small hostel, close to the train station. If you are not expecting much, besides great location and a good nights sleep, than this is a perfect place for you.

Well located for Keleti railway station. Quite an atmospheric building and hostel. No real problems. Traffic noise was manageable with window closed.

One of the coolest looking hostel rooms I've seen, top marks for decorations. Unfortunately it was one of those time all the guests seemed to keep a bit to themselves, so the athmosphere wasn't great when I was there.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location if you are coming and going by train.

The staff was mega kind and caring. Only problem was the roll-up shutter in the room, which didn't work and made it a bit noisy and bright inside the room.

Super helpfull staff, nice and small (12 beds or something) lures in considerate and quiet guests, a small privacy curtain at the beds (love that) reading light, great matrasses.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hostel is VERY close to main train station and metro! Amazing and helpful staff who went out of their way to make you feel welcome, as well as having great suggestions of walking tours and activities. Would stay here again if I came back to Budapest! Felt very safe :)

Good place to stay with friendly staff. i would definitely go there again!

My friend and I took a private apartment with Locomotive Light Hostel and were happy with the value for our money. The apartment was located in the Jewish district which was in walking distance to some attractions/good access to public transportation. Perfect option for couples/group of friends to enjoy a clean and spacious apartment equipped with everything that you need (fridge, stovetop, microwave).

Very scary going there at night. No sign except for a small letter when buzzing up. very bohemian with no social interaction. only a place to sleep.

Really nice hostel near the train station. Comfortable beds and an athmosphere making you feel like home! Superkind and helpful staff!

This hostel is very close to budapest keleti station and is very suitable for traveller with big baggage like me. There are food store so you cook yourself. 1/8 big pizza just 0.6 europe dollar, very cheap.

A very small and intimate hostel. At first we thought it was someone's flat as it is set in an apartment block. None the less, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They pointed out just about everything on the map and were very chatty. It's right next to the main station and metro stops so very convenient. The only offputting thing is all the mannequins around the hostel..very weird. But overall a brilliant hostel
