Nice people. Very friendly!

I liked it very much except for the very LOUD stairs in the dormitory: it was impossible not to wake up my roomies (or not to be waken up by them) when using these stairs to go to bed. The kitchen is ideed FULLY equipped: this is very much appreciated. The staff is very sympatic and you find in the hostel all the information necessary for your trip.

Don't be scared by the first hall downstairs!Come in . At first you ll be welcomed by Tamas, giving you good advices and tips to visit the city. We felt at home, warm place, well decorated, kitchen and fridge if you need to cook something. This place is quiet, close to the Main railstation (Keleti) and metro, or 15mn to the center. Go and you won't be disappointed :)

Good place to stay in Budapest

We stayed in Locomotive hostel for 2 nights. I guess we were the only guests in the hostel during those days so it was really quiet and calm there. The receptionist guy was very nice and helpful, and he told us a lot of places we could visit. The hostel itself was cozy and I really really recommend the place for everyone. It is also located just 5 minute walk from the main train station, so it is a good hostel to arrive e.g. at night.

Everything was really well, one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at, especially friendly and communicative staff.

Only stayed for one night but I have only positive things to say. Great location, friendly staff, nice clean room, great price compared to other hostels in the city. Would visit again. Thanks
