I really enjoyed my stay in the Locomotive, it is located just beside the Keleti trainstation and it's many bus and underground connections, Blaha is only a few minutes walk away, the staff is very friendly (and really good fun to chat to!) and will help you figuring out what to do and see in Budapest ... definitely recommend to stay there :)

A really cute hostel, very nice helpful staff. Don't forget to read the directions on their website- otherwise the entrance can be hard to find

I had the best time at Locomotive Light Hostel. It was a little bit of a walk from the city center but the staff and the whole atmosphere was the best experience I have ever had at a hostel. Go here!!

Excellent location if you're arriving by train since it's very close to Keleti Train station. It is very convenient if you are just passing through Budapest. It is still close to the center, so if you have spare time, you will be able to see the sights. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although we booked a private double bed room, we got a huge room for 6 people, because it was free at the time and apparently better than the one we originally booked.

helpful staff,he told me a lot of tips, from hostel change blue metro to the end,at least 35 minutes, then change bus 200E to terminal 1 at least 10 minutes,so roughly one hour to terminal 1 airport before enter security, but it's flexible take metro then change bus more than take train though less time to the airport terminal 1.

i would recommend LLH to every traveler because of few reasons: 1. it is not 'value for money', it is cheap. that is what makes it accesible to virtually anyone (even for poor students from croatia who do not have monthly income), 2. it is really a stonethrow from both Keleti trainstation and red metro (Metro 2), 3. the way that the interior of the hostel is set up is nothing less then briliant, the rooms and the common space are very functional. there are towels and hair dryer free for use...

Very friendly and helpful owner. The location is great, 2minutes from the railway station. very closed to some good clubs. The owner help me a lot, also with trains and all other things, thanks. Free wifi and free internet stations. I will definitely stay here again next time.

The staff is very nice. We're told a lot of tips. We booked the ensuite room for a couple, which is in fact an independent apartment with one bedroom, kitchen and bathroom NOT in the same building of hostel but closer to downtown. The wireless is perfect. The location is good with metro and trams. Several supermarkets, restaurants and pubs are nearby. It is highly recommended for those who want to have an undisturbed and independent holiday.
