From the moment I was picked up at the airport, the staff were so friendly and helpful. They offered so much advice on good places to go to and to eat and how to get there cheaply. The hostel was immaculate and the rooms comfy and brand new. The Internet was free and very fast. - a bonus! Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in a double room for 4 nights and it was great. Location is just 5 mins walk from the waterfront, they provided breakfast from 6.30 - 11 and were so helpful with everything. I think the staff here were some of the most helpful hostel staff I've met, happy to help organise trips to the orangutan centre and gave us maps and info on getting to Bako national park and the cat museum. We felt very happy we had chosen Lodge 121 and would stay here again next time in Kuching.

Is Excellent the highest option there is? If there was another even better rating, I'd select it. The facilities were incredibly clean and the ambience was fantastic, however 121's real draw card is the helpful, knowledgeable and unbelievably friendly staff. A HUGE thank-you to Jair, Jamie, Rajesh and Zhul! You're all wonderful and we can't wait to get back to Kuching to meet up with you again!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location at first seemed a little strange (in a small shopping center), but it's just a few hundred feet from the trendiest restaurants in Kuching (bla bla bla, The Living Room, The Junk), and a very short walk from the waterfront. Clean, nicely decorated interior; fast internet; free breakfast includes toast and coffee. We got our own room with A/C and a window both nights, and they kept our bags overnight for free when we went to Bako.

The place is quite new and the owner is willing to help you in everyway he can. NIce place where you meet others, while sitting on the big table at the window. The rooms are good and clean, so it is value for money. If you want to stay longer, book it via Hostelworld, while this is cheaper than at the frontdesk.

The place is clean and well maintained, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The entire experience was hassle free and comfortable. I was slightly disappointed with the location - it is not as close to the town centre / waterfront as it looked on the map. Not an issue if you're driving, but a longer walk than we anticipated. On the plus side, there's plenty of free parking.

I supposed to stay for 3 nights and ended staying for 15 days Christmas included. The staff:Jessica Jamie Zul Jair and Rajesh became actually friends . Ask them for anything you need and want to know. Regarding the hostel is outstanding, with all the facilities that you need and also few good restaurants downstairs.

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome and willingness to help. I really appreciated the modern settings and possibilities to meet other travellers. If I had only one recommandation for improvement, it would be regarding the cleanliness of the room and especially bath room (Deluxe Twin Private Ensuite). I know I have high expectations but personally, I expect no dust, small waste or hair under the bed, on the small bed cupboards or in the bath. Many wishes for the future!

We loved our time at Lodge 121. We initially booked just one night in a private room with ensuite but extended our stay. The atmosphere in the hostel is great, the perfect place to meet people. They have a large communal area for breakfast where you can get a good wifi connection and also a seperate living room with TV. Our room was spacious and clean and the air con worked really well. The location is also perfect with restaurants right next door and the waterfront a short walk away.

We stayed in a double room with private toilet and we found that the toilet is really clean and special -- special with a "glass wall". That is really cheap and great experience for my mom, haha.

Beyond welcoming, approachable and fun staff. Some of the nicest people I met in Borneo. Everything of interest is in walking distance, a mere 5 or 10 minutes away. The place is always spotless, and it has really nice and comfortable common areas. The dormitory is very cozy and homely - exactly what you're looking for when you need a break from bunk beds. All in all, I don't think I've ever felt so much at home away from home.

we had a great stay at lodge 121. the rooms are really clean and the common room too. the breakfast is really basic, but there is free flow of coffee, water and tea the whole day, which was great. the staff was very friendly and helped us organise our tours.... the only thing is that the walls are really thin and you kind of hear every word that is spoken on the breakfast table-so try to get a room upstairs... would definitely stay there again!

Lodge 121 is a very nice and clean hostel. The staff was very helfpful and friendly. Included tea and coffee in the price is a very nice gesture :-) Only at breakfast they could offer a second type of marmalade or chocolate cream/ peanut butter for the toasts. The hostel is about less than 5 minutes walk from the waterfront and it is very easy to find everything with the map provided by the the hostel at arrival. Would go there again :-)
