Large hostel but very cheap considering the location. Staff were nice and although our booking was messed up they managed to get it sorted for us.

Toilets were revolting, the staff unhelpful. There were not enough forks to eat our dinner with. During our stay I found dirty plates and mugs spread throughout our floor. Our floor was a mess. The toilet roll holder was broken on the floor and didn't look like it would be fixed any time soon. Smokers go in the front entryway which stinks. Not enough car spaces for everyone, you have to pay for parking on the street. Guests don't respect this place at all and it's easy to see why.

Good basic place to stay, dorm rooms okay, showers/toilets not so nice since it's a old building and not well kept. Nice big kitchen and dining/tv area. It's nothing more than OK.

The bathrooms are really dirty!!! The place smell like food, bad food that impregnates in your hair and clothes if you stay in the reception or tried to be in front of the computer for less than 5 min. On my second night I had to go to reception to revalidate my key because for no apparent reason it was cancelled. Very noisy. No silence rules after a certain hour. I arrive late almost all night and I kept it quiet, but on my last night, people were making noise until after mid night.

It was a great place to stay. Awesome location and friendly staff. The price was great and having parking was a bonus!

This place was pretty awful. There are plenty of better hostels in Wellington. In our room 1 bed wasn't made, another didn't have a pillow. Our bin hadn't been emptied. The bathrooms are few in number and mostly unpleasant. All this has going for it is its central location but so do all the others. Definitely wouldn't stay here again.

hostel car park was full so parked car in multi storey where it worked out cheaper to keep for 2 days than pay the 10dollars a night... windows very thin so can hear everything at night, and with people chatting outside the room at 3am its difficult to sleep should have staff walking round to stop this or at least monitor it.... cleanliness is poor the toilets and showers were drab and looked like we would come out dirtier than going in... sorry thumbs down for here

I spent just the night there and no more, haven't met anybody there so I can judge properly; it was fine alright except the heat in the room, too high, and too few showers...

A veritable sh*thole. Bathrooms are falling apart, the building is not taken care of at all. The kitchen is cleaned once a day, but I'm unsure of the extent to which it gets disinfected. Not at all a pleasant place to stay.

This hostel is in need of some serious renovations. The bathrooms are absolutely filthy, disgusting and run down. I hate to think o the level of hygiene in there. The rooms and beds were not much better either. Management need to put some money into fixing this place up - desperately! Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs!

top location, poor security, was pretty filthy but then it was full of people partying at the RWC so can't complain about that really :)

this hostel was one of the worst i have stayed in. staff unfriendly, all the doors to each room are so noisy and heavy that they need to be slammed to be shut so as u can imagine its hard to sleep....no washing powder for laundry, needed a 15min walk to the supermarket.over half of the kitchen sockets were out of order so kettles and toasters needed to be brought to the other side of the room to be used.overall i would never ever reccomond this place

Photos posted of this backpackers are deceiving. Dont expect much in the way of cleanliness or a quality room. And steer clear of the elevator. Does a BP with broken windows, a filthy bed, smelly rooms and grotty bathrooms expect a good review?!
