Absolutely nothing bad to say about this hostel: great and patient staff, excellent atmosphere, clean, perfect location. Enjoy the musical performances, hanging out with locals, and If you're lucky like I was, you may even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights from the deck! Highly looking forward to my return in January!

Had to pay a deposit of 1500kr for a towel and also 1500kr for breakfast. Food for breakfast was not value for money, suggest not paying for the breakfast

Great hostel in the heart of reykavik. Very close to every. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay again. Only one negative Friday and Saturday nights the main street parties till 4am so be prepared for some noise in your room. otherwise all great.

The hostel was great, staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, and the rooms were spotless. The only concern were the under bed 'lockers'. As theyre on wheels, even when locked, all you have to do is roll it around, and you can easily access the contents. We tested it, and it was very easy to remove my laptop. In the end, it was safer to just leave it in a locked suitcase. Apart from this though, everything was great!

Feels like my home in Iceland. Great hostel located in the heart of Reykjavík. It gets great facilities, good ambience and a very friendly and helpful staff. I definitely recommend Loft Hostel for travellers heading to Reykjavík.

Fantastic hostel, very welcoming staff and found that all guests were very welcoming too. Would highly recommend as very centrally located. Can get a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday as it is located along the main street but that's all the more reason to go out and join in the fun with the locals.

Excellent hostel! Spacious rooms, good atmosphere. Terrace to overlook reykjavik. Perfect location, steps to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shopping. Definitely recommend!

I stayed here twice and both my stays were excellent! The location is about as central in Reykjavik as you could get, (the only downside perhaps that there sometimes was noise from partying in the street), the two best points for me were the incredible help and cooperation given by the staff and the good wheelchair accessibility. Also good was the breakfast and the shared laptop in the common room. Breakfast and stay were a bit expensive but then this is Iceland.

Had a great stay at this hostel for four nights in total spread over a seven day period. The staff in particular were excellent! All very knowledgeable and went out of their way to give advice and book tours and trips for myself and my friend. Unfortunately breakfast is not included, and costs 1750Kr which is a fair bit. The beers are pretty good, but not as good as some of the local bars (Kaffinbarrin and Micro bar). All in a very pleasant stay and would happily stay again. Kudos to the staff.

The hostel staff were always incredibly helpful, offering advice on which companies to go on tours with and even offering a cup of tea when I was unwell. The girls' dorm was awesome because it had its own bathroom and shower in the room (no trying to put all your belongings in a bag to do the run to the showers down a hall).

A great, extremely clean and friendly hostel. Very inviting and has a nice ambience. Each dorm has its own bathroom which is a great convenience compared to other hostels I've stayed in. The kitchen was very impressive and extremely clean. Very well organized and there wasn't any dirty dishes at anytime I went into the kitchen. The staff were very helpful with booking my tours and tried all options until we found one available. There is ample seating in the bar and lounge area with modern decor.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. The common/bar area is really great. Beds have a small shelf with a power outlet and a reading light - perfect. Guest kitchen is big and well-equipped.

Excellent facilities, loved the bar and lounge on the top floor - great place to meet people and chill. Great and clean kitchen with lots of free communal food. Comfortable rooms and very spacious. PERFECT location on the main street downtown. Staff are nice.

Really great hostel, common areas were great. Staff were awesome, really helpful & knowledgeable. Happy Hour meant getting decent priced beers & there was even live music! Room was lovely, each bed has its own power outlet, light (the luxuries we look for in hostels) and space for those essentials you need in the night. Central location, literally at the end of the main street (but quiet enough to sleep even on weekend nights). Everywhere was super clean & generally had a lovely stay!

We stayed at Loft Hostel in the beggining of October in a 6 bed dorm for two nights. We definitely wish we could've stayed longer. Great atmosphere, excellent facilities. Warm rooms (very important when it's so cold outside), very clean, cosy & friendly common area/reception. Awesome system in the kitchen and great wi-fi. We cannot reccomend it enough.
