Not the most impressed with this hostel. They charge a bit high for Bolivia, yet they don't include breakfast.Next to the main lobby they have a lounge/ sun room with the travel agency, however that room always smelled like a bathroom though I didn't see one attached. They don't have lockers in the room, and only have a very limited number in lobby. Also make sure they don't make you pay full price during check out if you paid a deposit. Not sure why it isn't in their system.
Good hostel with brilliant staff, great travel agency, good bar and food, decent room and ensuite as ex hotel, good location. wifi is good on ground floor but poor in the upper levels. Fab view of city from the bar, good location
Not quite Loki Cuzco for atmosphere, but hard to criticise the brand. Great, socialble hostel. Highly recommended.
Pleasantly surprised by Loki - it is a great party hostel, but the private rooms (on the lower levels) are a quiet retreat when needed and of a budget hotel standard (it is an ex hotel). Private bathroom was great and staff all seemed to go the extra mile. Only - BIG - downside is the WI-FI. It is terrible even by Bolivian standards - you can't even connect half the time, it is only available on 2 levels out of 6 and when you do connect, it is incredibly slow and drops out constantly.
Can't believe this big hostel has such poor wifi. No wifi in room was okay for us, however we can not get connected if too much people in common area. We checked out in morning of Sep 4. The staff at check-out counter wanted to charge us full price, if we didn't claim we have paid 12% in advance, that staff would get some money in his pocket. ASK FOR A RECEIPT WHEN YOU PAY.
Nice place. From 5 to 10 minutes to the turist centre. The shower is not the best, but you can find hot water at least.
Great hostel with friendly, helpful staff. Great bar on top floor with cheap goid food. Lots of facilities - pool, table tennis, tour office, computer room etc. Really clean and hot showers! Definitely recommend Loki.
Great hostel if u like parties. Then is too noisy. Good location. Staff helpful.
This hostel is popular for a reason. It is a large hostel but well managed. Great social atmosphere but quiet in my dorm room and easy to sleep. Warm showers. Location is great as it is within easy walking distance to attractions and markets. Area around the hostel is safe. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Only drawback is wifi only available on top and bottom floors (6 floor building).
I think the hostel is an excellent place to stay and have really good staff and atmosphere
This hostel felt more like a hotel at times, it was really nice. The only downside, was the noise from the nightclub on the top floor. This wasn't actually bad whilst it was open, but as soon as it closed you had all the noise from the people leaving down the stairs. Great place if you like a bit of a party
I had s bit of trouble withdrawing money once I got to La Paz and the staff at Loki were incredibly patient and helpful. It really made my stay that much more enjoyable. It's a mini community there and having the big common area upstairs makes it so easy to make friends. Also, the location is great!
This is a party hostel and a good one at that! Staff took us to a local bar after the hostel bar closed and had a great time! Only problem with this place for me was the food, got food poisening on the second night which ruined my opinion of the hostel! But you can always eat else where :)
Fab, fun hostel with everything you need under one roof!! Would definitely reccomend!!
We asked at reception for our heater to be turned on in our dorm but were hit with 'no they're broken, but you can have extra blankets if you want' no. Not what I wanted. Our beds were fine. Our room was freezing. No heaters in the middle of Winter is disgusting. They could at least have given us a small one to plug in! Sleeping with 4 layers on is not ideal. Beds are comfy nonetheless and it's good to have the lockers in the room for valuables.
Below par English gap year hostel, lacking any kind of culture or relevance to the local area. Only real plus was the hot shower.
Worst wif I've encountered in the last 3 weeks in SA, lobby smells like a bathroom and so do therooms , bedding seems old and possibly unclean. Insecure storage lockers for electronics inlobby (most hinges were barely attached) understaffed travel agent, be prepared to wait hours to book a tour orbus anywhere. Bar has an awesome view. Also no laundry service except across the street which takes ten hours!!!!
Stayed in a 4 bed dorm on the first floor and it was great! There was a private bathroom that was cleaned daily! Wifi was only on the 1st and 6th/7th floor which is common in Bolvia and for the most part worked well. There was lots of action and parties on the 6/7th floor but it was nice and quiet on the 1st! The lockers in the rooms were a bit small but not a huge deal! Free baggage storage which was awesome! Would stay again!
Best parties, AWESOME bar... The best way to drink and meet new people! I also needed the travel agency and I got a good price and good service. It's not the best place to relax, sleep...
