Brilliant hostel. We didn't join in with the partying (but it looked good fun) and still managed to get a good night's sleep in a nice dark room. The bar is great for cheapish food and chilling out, lovely fresh bread for free breakfast. Good if a little slow wifi, great lockers plus ones in reception with plug sockets. Warm rooms, cosy beds and hot showers 24/7 though the one in our room didn't work for a bit. Lots of bathrooms, very big hostel - only 7 computers though, not enough!

Loki was great and lived up to its reputation as a party hostel. There were events on every day and night which enabled you to meet loads of cool people, the staff were excellent always very helpful in reception and the bar staff were a good laugh. The Dorms were spacious and the beds were very comfy. With some many people staying at Loki every day they really need to enhance there internet facilites as the WIFI was very poor throughout the hostel.

Typical party hostel with unusually clean and spacious rooms. Great bar atmosphere. No sleep to be had.

Lot of things are perfekt in this hostel: awesome bar, where you can get meals for a really good price, nice roof, lockers where you can charge your camera, and clean bathrooms. if you re looking for a nice and chilly party hostel: go there. only problem: internet works really slow...

We had a fantastic time here - I thought it was better value than Wild Rover - rooms, bathrooms (including hot showers) and wifi at Loki are far superior. The bar was excellent as well - Loki threw a couple of great parties and the bar staff were great. Could beef up security a little but no real complaints

Massive hostel, hence if your travelling on your own and want to party it takes a while to meet anyone because no one even notices you when you walk into the bar and everyone is hanging out with their mates already....once the night warms up everyone gets pretty friendly though. The staff are not friendly or inviting but will point you in the right direction if you ask them. Bathroom was always clean, water was hot 9 out of 10 times. Could hear the bar at night from our top floor room.

This is a party hostel and although they have signs up near rooms saying 'quite area' other guests don't follow these rules and the security staff don't care that they make noise until 5am. The staff were a huge disapointment, after extending our booking they had no record of it, they seemed annoyed to be working, and generally didn't care. The onsite travel booking agent was handy however they didn't bother to tell us there were transport strikes starting and we got stuck in La Paz.

Nice old building, small lockers in rooms and at reception (reception lockers have powerpoints!!). Location wise about 5 or 10 mins from the main Sagarnaga area (there are closer places). Bar staff are all gringos living or working there, reception and maids are locals. Nice hot showers and very comfy big beds. Big reputation as a party hostel but not as wild as it likes to think.........more of a mediocore students union. Airport taxi I booked through them didnt turn up.

Great hostel, plenty going on but you can still get a good nights sleep if you need. Beds are comfy and food in the bar is good.

we were on the top floor which had no quiet zone signs like the lower floors. from 12pm until 4/6am every night we stayed at loki la paz there were people sitting in the corridors being stupidly loud with no staff keeping the peace. several times it was made obvious that these people weren't even from loki. understand that its a hostel and noise is a given but it ruins some peoples stay given there are many early tours from la paz etc. it was a bit of a joke really.

The Staff at the front desk are amazing!! They will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. One of the girls organized me a doctor and then spent 20 minutes hailing me a cab. The only thing I would mention is that the booking system they use appears to be really confusing and no one really understands it. It's sooo much better then Milhouse in BA. If you want a night off partying, you can have it. Assuming there are no rude israelies in your room!!

I have enjoyed very much to stay in a hostel nearby everything in town. And it was nice to have a travel agency in the building to organize trips around the city. Great staff.

The bolivian staff very unhelpful and rude. People at the bar were friendly. Did not like the fact people can smoke in the bar around food, as a non smoker I hated it. The first night was great sleep, the second, however another story, i girl in my dorm was sick in her own bed and too drunk to realise.

There is an excessive lack of security at the entrance of the hostel, anybody can enter, find out the names, identities and room numbers of people staying in the hostel. This is a HUGE security issue and something needs to be done about it ASAP.

When you stay at Loki Hostel - and the same is true about Wild Rover around the corner - you are actually staying at a bar with beds. Only when you think about it this way can you explain not having a kitchen, the staff who are inept to maintain any order in their bookings, and the 24-7 party that rages on amongst the guests. That said, the beds are very comfortable, rooms clean, the internet free and fast, the location great, and the food ordered the from the bar both cheap and delicious.
