I spent 2 nights with my family: my husband and my 2 daughters ther. We found everything much better than we expected. We loved our room on the first floor, spacious, colourful and silent. Everything was very clean. The staff was very, very friendly and helpful. Great experience!

In a well groovy location on the less touristy side of town, about 10 minutes ride/tram from the historic centre, lots of cafes, bars, and good artsy things around. Nice, clean rooms and all the necessary facilities. paying an extra 4euro for bed sheets is the only downer.

Free dinner Sundays and Wednesdays was great! A bit of a trek to get into town but good public transport. The website was a bit misleading as linen and breakfast were not included. Have fun with the glass doored showers in the shared bathroom. modesty is for suckers.

quite a nice hostel. very homely and a good place to meet other people. the only issue is that there are a lot of hidden costs. eg linen is an optional extra which costs an extra 4 euro, as do towels. A bit annoying when you arrive and are asked if "you would like linen". Its a bit of a hike to the old town, but right in the middle of the new town where it would seem most of the nightlife is. overall good (also the kebab shop next door serves the most ridiculous kebab i've yet to find in europe)

pros: staffs are the most helpful I have ever met. They offer bikes which cost me 10 in Berlin, take advantage of that! cons: no lift, lucky my luggage is not huge, a little bit crowded (but there is only 3 persons in that 6 beds), a little bit far away from old town (but I have bikes!) quite long distance from the tram which leads to the hbf. others: a little bit weird that you can't use your laptop in the common room as it is "designed for meetin others" which doesn't work.

This is a very good hostel, the staff are great and its easy to get around to all the major sites in Dresden. Plus the free rental bike is a big win! I was there over Christmas and all the dinners with everyone in the hostel was a great way to spend it i thought. Apart from that Dresden is a great little city with plenty of amazing day trips (which the hostel had all the info needed).

A great hostel on a superb location in one of the coolest streets of the city. The interior decoration is unique and very nice, but makes it more a place for young, alternative people - don't think my mother would like to walk through a corridor at night that looks like a railroad tunnel with graffiti! When comparing it to other hostel I've been to in Eastern Germany the prices are a bit high considering the comfort level (size of the rooms, only shared bathroom,...)

An eclectic place with a hippie-ish vibe. Great for young travelers looking to meet people, especially during the free dinners; when I went, some students from the Dresden university joined us and the rest of the week they showed me around the city. The facilities are fully functional, but don't expect hotel-cleanliness. The staff is super nice, so the only thing I would complain about is the weird electro music playing in the lounge from breakfast until 11pm.

We had to get a new internet user name in every 2 hrs. It was a trouble. The collected all Asian travellers in the same room.

Fantastic place to stay in Dresden. Staff were super helpful - gave me heaps of really specific advice about places to go and things to do. Really sociable and friendly place to stay - the hostel creates a great communal atmosphere. Great kitchen for cooking dinner (might get a little crowded if the place was packed but still, very good). Lots of comfy spots to check emails etc. Clean, warm and cosy.

The staff was friendly but the place seemed dirty. There was definitely an odor in the lounge. The furniture looked like it had been bought from thrift stores. The vibe was indeed unique and somewhat creative, but I prefer an ultra clean hostel. It was very nice of them to provide a free meal. That I definitely did appreciate.

No complaints. Lots of character, free bikes were a good offer, staff were nice and friendly and happy to help. Great place to hang out and read, socialise etc. Though kitchen could get a bit cramped when everyone wants to cook at the same time...

Lollis Homestay was a great experience! The staff was very accomodating, and it was in a really fun area. There were lots of free events, dinners, german lessons, tours to try to build a camaraderie between the residents. As a result I met some great people!

A very unique hostel that had some pros and cons. Pros: most social hostel I've ever stayed at, a really "artsy" feel that gave it a lot of character, lots of space in rooms, free dinner on Wednesdays. Cons: the "artsy" feel came from everything looking like it was bought at a garage sale (e.g. none of the bed sheets matched), meaning not everything felt entirely clean, the area of town was not the cleanest and filled with graffiti (which some people told me they loved).

Great little hostel, with a really awesome atmosphere – very easy to meet people, especially with all of the group activities (sharing dinners, German lessons etc) Very cool place. The hallway outside my room smelt really bad though… Showers were good, bathrooms quite clean. Great to have access to a kitchen… pity there’s no wifi in the rooms. And you have to pay extra for linen.
