Cheap! I used this place as a base for setting myself up for living in the UK and it was perfect for that, but if I was going to London to travel the location would have been pretty useless. That said, the tube station is just across the road, but by the time you've paid for your transport from Hendon to the city centre once or twice each day... All in all, the bathrooms are clean, the place has a pretty cool vibe to it and the rooms are cleaned well. Avoid the top bunk (they're triples)!

Good value for your money but not the best hostel around. Some people decided to live here permanently, they are always hogging the already very small kitchen. Breakfast is until 9 am and then the kitchen closes, so no breakfast if you get up at a normal time. Cleaning the room consists of turning on the light, a vague mopping and a harsh chemical spray. The rooms are really hot and sweaty. Lights off, and the symphony of farts begins. The bed curtains, personal plugs and light are nice though.

Very good hostel. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the facilities were as advertised. The location is excellent, just a few steps from Hendon Central station.

Great hostel with friendly vibe. Seconds from Hendon Central station with loads of shops and kebabies nearby. Staff were keen to help out. Hefty breakfast with well equipped kitchen. Clean showers and toilets with radio on- nice touch. In the morning the air was a bit heavy and damp due to everyone's breathing which doesn't happen in other hostels- need better ventilation or a dehumidifier maybe? The oven also needs to be fixed as it took over an hour to cook a frozen pizza. Overall great!

Unfortunately over Easter weekend the Northern line Tube to the hostel was closed, and the replacement bus added a lot of time to the journey to get there. However, in general this hostel was good. Staff and service were great, although the cramped common areas and kitchen didn't make us feel comfortable socialising.

I had an amazing time London Backpackers . One of the biggest factors in whether I enjoy a place is the people who I mix with there and London Backpackers gets a 10/10 for atmosphere. Every night there was a group of people drinking, socialising and hanging out in the common room, often going out afterwards. Amazing breakfast with good muslie, free wifi, lock boxes, free internet, helpful staff. Downside: Poor location (but 20 second walk from train station). Had a great time here!

The location is not so brilliant, even if the Underground is closed at the weekend....

spent a great night there. :) I usually dont spend looong hours in the hostels, so i was about to go to the city for the night. So i started my journey 7pm and 2 hours wasnt enough to get to the heart of London. :( (well its cause the underground was under repair or...) so i turned back a bit disappointed, just to meet people in the hostel who made it up for me :) Was a great night, and great sleep (the beds are extremely comfy. :)

The transportation and area was a little bit frustrating, but the actual hostel experience was great. The beds with their own chargers and lights etc and organization of the rooms was very good.

It was very nice to stay there, though I was only there to sleep. The rooms were clean and the hostel looks really nice. The only thing I didn't like that much was that it was really cold inside. But that was not such a big problem. It's a bit out of the center, in zone 3 but only one minute walking away there are a tube station and a few bus stops.

Really enjoyed my stay here - really good hostel to meet people. Bit far from the centre of London but the price definitely makes up for it (plus it's right next to a tube station). Hostel staff were lovely, especially Denny (Or Danny - can't remember). Would stay here again :)

PROS: good location (Hendon is nice), good facilities, clean, cheap, some nice people CONS: staff could be a bit more friendly and spread some good energies in the hostel, bit of a trip to the city centre (but cheaper and cleaner than a hostel in the city centre)

Was 'ok'. The only problem was that people didn't sleep until like 3am and were loud the whole time.

Considering the very low price we paid we were expecting the worst, but this place was super nice and clean. It was also handy that each bed had a usb outlet on the bed head. Although this place isn't centrally located to any major monuments, it is right beside a tube station and the night bus station is right outside.

Good facilities and a clean hostel in general. Just it's little bit out of the center but not that difficult to get to the cener by tube or bus. Was a good stay.

Great facilities, quiet, great value. A little cold, but the blankets provided were wonderful. A little outside of the city but right by the tube so easy to get around. Besides not seeing many people while staying there and having to deal with horrible karaoke feedback while using the computer, this is good bang for your buck.

It's a nice hostel just little bit far from center that not suitable for walking. It has a nice kitchen, very simple free breakfast and free wi-fi. Good value for money.

Was a nice hostel with a kitchen and another common area. It's clean and the rooms were good. Just the thing is it doesnt have a central location. Besides that everything was ok.

Nice kitchen where you can also watch TV and movies. And there is a pool table downstairs. The hostel is so clean that some French people were even walking around barefooted. Beds are comfortable. The hostel is not in the center but close to the tube and bus stops. It was a good experience overall.
