Nice kitchen where you can also watch TV and movies. And there is a pool table downstairs. The hostel is so clean that some French people were even walking around barefooted. Beds are comfortable. The hostel is not in the center but close to the tube and bus stops. It was a good experience overall.

The location was good, just opposite a tube station on the Northern line, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was generous. The basement was fun, a bit quiet but I enjoyed the pool table and the music. Mind you don't bang your head in the 18 bedroom! But for £9 it was a great bargain :)

I really enjoyed staying at the hostel, the rooms were clean and the staff are very friendly. The only downer was that it was a bit far from the main city. But to be fair, you get what you pay for, it's a cheap hostel and it's warm and reletively quiet at night time, so all in all I was very happy, thanks London Backpackers :)

Staff was accomodating, giving us a ton of useful information On checking in, lockers, tansport into london central, etc. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm, and the first two nights it was just our group, and the last couple, just one or two other people. We went monday through saturday though. Travel takes 30 min to london central so get a oyster card or travel card. Get to breakfast early, they closed shop just before us frist day 9h30 and said we should have come at 9 then next day closed 8h45.

Out in Camden Town for the evening, hostel served its purpose brilliantly. Inexpensive, safe, clean bed for the night around 25 minutes by night-bus N5 from Camden Town. God for short stay.

I spend two days at the hostel. The facilities were great and it was clean. The hostel is located in Zone 3 about 15 minutes by underground to the centre. The nearest underground station is a 2 min walk. The hostel itself is nice. If you're traveling alone, you would not encouter someone to spend the days with because most of the guests work in London (and live there semi-perminant). If you have your own travelbuddy's, this hostel would be just fine.

30 min far from downtown but close to the underground. Cleanliness of bathroom can be improved.

The hostel is far from downtown, aprox. 20-30 minutes by tube, but it has a station a few meters away. It is not quite clean (or at least my room) because of the other custumers: the girls throw away everything on the floor and hang their clothes on the bed as it was a clothesline. Obviously, it looked not so nice.

The shower water was a little funny; the water was 'slippery'. I mean, after showering in it, my skin and hair felt very smooth and slippery, and we were worried something got into the water, but there was no harm in it and after toweling dry nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

Owner Comment (Show)
Hi, The reason the water may have felt "slippery", is due to the fact that we have fitted a water softener, which reduces the hard water levels and at times makes the water feel this way. We hope this did not cause you too much discomfort and can assure you that it is extremely safe. Regards, Greg Manager

The kitchen equipment are enough for customer, but they should have some rules to not allow people to put their food in a pot and put it into refrigerator.

PROS: Good location near the tube, nice drawings on the walls, clean&well equiped facilities. CONS: Zone4>>far from the city. No one ever warned about the planned tube closure bf/after reservation. If you a unlucky enough to be on the 3rd level of a bunk bed, your head 2 feet from an open window & ask for another bed /there were plenty left/ the staff at the reception is not interested at all to cooperate. The place is extremely noisy all night long for it is on a busy. Overcrowded kitchen/lounge.

Upon arrival on Jan 30 we were told we were double booked. Understanding that these things happened it was no big deal, but the gentlemen working did absolutely nothing to help us out and seemed to blame the mistake on us . Also the customers ahead of us were left unsatisfied when he couldn't put the effort in to help them out either. That night the tube line was down as well and after a hectic travel day we were treated as inconveniences rather than customers.

Hostel was in an excellent location, right next to the tube station. The staff were friendly but aloof. The facilities were okay for the money, although most importantly they were clean. You could come and go as you pleased and there was always someone around to talk to. The people were interesting and diverse. It was perfect for a short-term stay. Bare in mind that there are a lot of long-term residences here so it is important to be respectful with noise if sharing a room.

Rooms were cramped and poorly ventilated, mattresses were rock solid, pillows were paper thin, there were only two powerpoints in a six bed room, WiFi did not work in rooms, showers were cold and you couldn't change the temperature "movies available" were VCRs.

No lockers in the share rooms is annoying, complimentary breakfast is handy, location 30/40 mins from the centre so the tube isn't cheap to get in but nothern line is handy and it's not far from places like Camden. Kitchen was quite akward to use if you wanted to do any other cooking than just heating stuff up. Overall I had a good stay no major issues, clean and cheap hostel if you don't mind being out of the way a bit.
