This hostel can be commended for the breakfast they provided their guest, close to a small but reasonable buffet. The owners are receptive. One of the owners name Ronald, as in Ronald Mc Donald has that special glee or twinkle in his eyes, to let his guest know right off. As long as you are guests here my job is to make sure you enjoy yourself, and I will do my job well!
This place was really good nice and friendly staff Fab food and a good place to see Santa Cruz from.
Breakfast options were very impressive. Nice sized hostel, small enough to be personal, but enough guests for good atmosphere. Staff all very helpful and friendly.
Was there just for a night, but it was amazing! Very helpful staff and nice people, we even had a bbq on a monday night!
Although I just booked here for a stopover on the way back home and planned only to sleep, it turned out to be one of the most memorable places i stayed. The hostel itself is great - everything was clean, beds were comfy, breakfast was good, only a short walk to town, great place to meet others. But what really made it was the French owner JP, who set up my breakfast even though I arrived after it was over (after a long bus ride v much appreciated!) and put on an awesome BBQ for everyone
Great staff, very helpful, friendly and multilingual! Free caipirinha on Friday night and barbecue available to everyone, anytime. Great atmosphere with only backpackers, so perfect place to meet ppl and party. Hot showers, internet, shops and restaurants next door, stove, hammocks, large and complete breakfast, and much more. I'd really recommend it ;)

The hostel was clean with good facilities. The staff were friendly. It was within a reasonable walking distance of town and the area seemed safe. The kitchen was good and well stocked.
It is a really great Hostal and the perfect spot to hang out. It has a real coasi patio, perfect and clean dorms and facilities. The kitchen is very nice and the hostal provides more cooking ingredients than usual found.. far beyond salt and oil. Also it has a really nice BBQ which the owner will set up for free.. this is basically what I liked the most of the hostal, the staff is willing to provide you with free services (sth. aswell drinks! calperinha night!) and the breakfast is incredible!
It's a new hostel that opnened in June, I really recommend it but it's still under construction
Only there for one day but it was nice, staff were nice and it was a good price.. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen.
I've got absolutely no complains about this hostel! We actually started and finished our 10-day trip through Bolivia there, so when we came back at the end it felt like coming back home! JP, the owner and Priscila and Monica, the girls in reception, were super kind to us! The place is clean, has nice hammocks where you can chill and it has got a great location. We absolutely loved it there! Thanks for everything! We'd definitely gonna stay there again if we come back to Santa Cruz
Loro Loco is a beautiful place to stay at. The courtyard is good to relax and the beds are comfortable. Also the breakfast is good for starting your day in Santa Cruz!
While there is still some construction going on in this brand new hostel, my stay was just great. The staff were friendly, the owner is a good guy and the hostel is amazing, even in it's unfinished state. When it is finished, it's going to be even better. Definitely don't overlook this hostel because of it's newness. Just stay here.

This is a great new hostel that just opened in June 2013. It is run by one French and one German guy who have traveled and know what travelers want. They are also really genuine nice guys willing to take any and all comments. The breakfast is amazing with bread, cheese, meat, fruits all kinds of drinks. The kitchen is huge and well-stocked with utensils and equipment. The beds are new and comfortable. There are hammocks and a beach area. They have bbq's on the weekend. I would stay here again.
