I enjoyed my stay at Los Amigos. The staff was exceedingly friendly, helpful, and fun. The facilities were clean, the space was colorful and inviting, and the free breakfast was tasty. I was able to meet some friendly people and explore Madrid with friends.

This is a nice clean hostel, with everything you require for a break. However, does lack an atmosphere so if you're in Madrid to party I would suggest another hostel!

This hostel is a great place to stay, if you are into paying for (or putting a deposit on) every amenity. Sheets, locks, towels, use of computers all cost $, which is a little ridiculous. The atmosphere wasn't the greatest, there isn't much of a common area to hang out in (other than the kitchen, where wifi doesn't work) so it wasn't exactly fun or conducive to meeting people. also my room was right off reception, which was very loud, the sound echoed and made it difficult to sleep at night.

Great staff, awesome location that's walkable to anywhere you want to go, access to internet/computers for small price, nice rooms, ample shower and sink space, lockers, breakfast included, cool building, great small living/common room. The crowd was very chill when we were there (we were two pretty mellow 20-something sisters traveling together) which we enjoyed, although I wouldn't have minded getting to know more of the travelers staying there. Everyone was pretty autonomous.

I loved this hostel! The staff were all really nice and it was a great location. Close to all the fun, but it was quiet tonight as the room was on courtyard. A friend and I got one of the double rooms.

Staff very nice and helpfull, the best place, unfortunatelly at the day I arrived they had the room´s wall painted, so the smell was quite strong. But forgetting this fact, everything was perfect!

Really amazing, central location and very clean. Felt really safe here, not exactly party central but I was here in low season. The staff were really helpfull with everything including things to do and see, and transport out of Madrid.

Nice hostel, I would stay there again. Staff is great; gave us lots of tips. I was in 4 bed room and we had normal beds, not bunk beds which was great. Close to everything.

Pros: Clean, good location, organized. Cons:Doors lock from inside and outside with a key. Thus if you are in the room with no key and some one outside locks it you are stuck. In our case, our door did not unlock from the inside (broken) and we got locked in all night. I mentioned it to the receptionist and he knew and didn't really care

Los Amigos is a good place to stay in Madrid. Love staff are very enthusiastic, speaks fluent Engglish, and can even speak Chinese. The location is just besides Metro Opera, close to shopping area, and have many bars/restaurants near by. The room is cute and modest space. Everything is warm and cozy.

The place is really good, good location, is near some main touristic places as plaza mayor, sol and royal castle, and also near a metro station. People is kindly, place is clean, breakfast is good. I recommend it!

The rooms were extremely hot, no air circulation what so ever. The location was good but the rooms weren't what we hoped for, it got so hot one night we all woke up thinking we were going to sufficate! The bathroom situation was not so great either. There were only 4 toilets for the entire hostel, 2 of them were in the shared male and female bathroom where the showers were too. For location it was great but everything else was sub-par; the staff could have been a little more helpful with us.

Great location if you want to be in the heart of Madrid. Beware the street-side rooms — there tends to be a lot of street noise at night. Overall, great hostel. Carlos is an angel.

The place was great!! The staff were very helpful and always willing to answer questions!! It sucks that you can't check in until 1pm especially when flights are so unpredictable. All in all though it was a great place to stay and I would stay there again!
