Excellent hostel with great staff. Very central location. Let down by small things - they twice ran out of toilet paper. I would nevertheless recommend this hostel

Very friendly and helpful staff! Close to public transit, the palace, and beautiful gardens and parks. I felt very at home. Common area was a bit small but cozy.

Just the place to be in Madrid ! The hostel's in the heart of the city center, very close to El Sol station and Opera (so usefull), 5min by feet from historical places, and from all the tapas bars :) The decoration is very charming, very lightly, clean and friendly. The 2 guys who work there are in your service at anytime to help you, they propose some good tours to discover the city and spanish tradition like flamenco, or make friends in a pub crawl ! Really : Thank you for everything !

"Los amigos" is the perfect choice for staying in Madrid! 100% recommendable! All the facilities, great atmosphere, excellent location! Great staff! Fernando and Gino helped me everytime I needed, with information of the city, nightlife (no to be missed here in Madrid!), places and culture... See you there next time!

Everything was good, except that we stayed in the room near the reception, so it was not well soundproofed and the window was quite old, but it has a fantastic view.

A fantastic place to stay - homely, friendly and superbly located with a really helpful warden/owner. Cannot recommend this 'hostal' highly enough - if anybody else can find a fault, the fault must be with them! Thanks a lot Elisa, and good luck with your new venture! Neil

Nice place, good facilities and knowledgeable staff. Down side is kitchen closes early, but fine for the quieter travelers.

The environment was great! The staff was friendly, specially Elisa!! :) The breakfeast was ok...not very much the continental type but acceptable. During night it was quite which was good since no one was in the reception from 22h till 8h in the morning. Very well located, warm inside, overall clean facilities. Something to note..not a great place to interact with other people in the hostel...i would recommend this hostel :)
