Here is the deal. Seniora Irma who runs this place is very sweet and helpful. Since my flight to Mexico City was at 8pm, she let me stay till 5pm without extra charge, even though check out time was at 11am. It was not mentioned in other reviews that Los Encuentros hotel is a converted house. It´s a low-key, basic (cold water), inexpensive place. The family lives there, so please do not expect a lot of socializing with other guests on their property.

Los Encuentros was a great place to stay! Irma is very friendly, como mi mama! The place has a homely feel and Irma was very kind, made me a cup of tea and helped with bookings. Location is great too. Thumbs up!

Really lovely, relaxed place to stay in Antigua. The owner was extremely helpful in every aspect of our stay. Clean rooms, with clean shared bathrooms and use of the kitchen. Felt like being at home! Highly recommended.
