Los Gnomos offered nice, clean, and comfortable rooms and a lovely continental breakfast every morning. Its location just off of El Calafate's main drag was perfect: close enough to get everywhere comfortably on foot but removed from the swarms of visitors at all hours. Best of all, however, was the courteousness and kindness of the staff. Whether helping us with reservations for excursions, recommending restaurants and bars, or striking up friendly conversation, they were wonderful.
