Located about a 15-20 minute walk (or a 5 min/1$ taxi ride) from the main street (food, dock, Charles Darwin Station, bus station). It is in the new developing area of town, which is a mostly residential area. The hostel has a nice garden area with an outdoor kitchen from which the owner cooks breakfast. She lives on the top floor of the hostel and will around most of the time. The doors of the room and of the hostel both have keys, which you have access to for additional security.

nice little family owned hostel, that is actually a hotel. cosy rooms, outside kitchen, very nice owners and cute dogs in the yard. a bit far, but a taxi is just 1 dollar...honestly, best thing that happened to me on galapagos was this hostel! everything was toooo expensive and not worh this kind of money... los pinguinos is a place to be if you already came to galapagos...

Great place...but too far from the downtown!

When we arrived, nobody was arround to checkin. After a Moment, a neighbor brought the keys. The most annoying thing was, that the owner did not respect our 10% prepaiment by Hostelworld! Therfore the bathroom was quite small for a 6 Dorm and the toilet had not even a toilet seat.

very nice plants on the terrace and beautiful self made pictures on the walls in the rooms. small breakfast made by the owner. 1dollar by taxi or 10 minutes to walk to the malecon (center). it was very very nice and I would like to come back to the islas galapagos and this hostel!

An easy 15 minute walk or US$1 taxi from the center of town. Great value. No sign on the building. Look for large brightly colored mural that has penguins in it.

Bit pricey for a hostel that is quite far from the town centre in Puerto Ayora. Room is clean and there is hot water though the kitchen could be a bit cleaner and drinking water dispenser kept in working order! There are other hostels in the middle of town that are similar in price or cheaper (e.g., 15 bucks if you negotiate).

The only thIng have to say about this place is that it is not close to the port and not very many people know of it. the lady there is beautiful though knowing that I was a diabetic she made sure that she made juices that were sugarless. she has wonderful plants and flowers around. The cost to get to anywhere on the island is $1.00 but do not expect to walk to Los pinquinos. The nice thing about this place is that I paid for a 5 person room but was the only person in the room. So all to self.
