Really nice hostel. Wery cosy (homestyle) common room and kitchen, great stuff. Only social life in hostel (no events organised by hostel) could be improved.
The staff was generally very helpful and friendly, free basic breakfast in the morning and free lock and locker were nice, but no free towel. Cheap drinks were sold as well. Staff had good recommendations for the city as well.
Good location and just 5min walk to the castle and the bridge! V convenience to everywhere! Not v stable wifi in the room but ok in the common room! Clean and nice room! But the bathroom and toilet are not enough for both shared by male and female! Nice staff!
Best hostel ever. Carmen was an amazing hostel. Location is also excellent, its right next to the castle.
The Lotte Backpackers hostel is the best one I've been to. It has an amazing atmosphere, extremely warm and friendly staff, great facilities, extremely comfortable rooms and the most beautiful common room. It's a great place to pass through, meet people or simply while away your time.
I really enjoyed my time at Lotte's and would definitely recommend it to others. It was the perfect place to come back and relax after a day of sight-seeing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was in a great location and they had everything you could need to have a wonderful stay in Heidelberg.
Over several years of traveling around Europe, this is one of the best hostels I've stayed at. The location was great in the old city center, there is a bus stop nearby that connects you to the train station, and it's close to the castle (There's a giant stairway by the hostel that goes up, or you can ride the Bergbahn up.) The price was reasonable, the hostel was clean, quiet, and cozy, and the staff were very nice.

Best hostel I have ever stayed in. A bit on the expensive side but worth every penny. It is more like a home than a hostel.
Hands down the best hostel experience I've ever had! Fantastic staff members- always willing to give you a hand with anything, and a really homey feel. The free tea, coffee and cereal is a great addition, as is the girls only bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need, and is kept super clean! You can also do your washing for just two euros- great! Although theres no bar, the common area is really great and you can buy alcohol from reception if you want. Beautiful location too!
An extremely helpful staff and friendly too. Was very thorough in walking me through the hostel and the town attraction with excellent recommendations. Would stay again should I return. A++
Great place to stay, friendly staff and fantastic location beneath the castle. Generally clean with good and cosy facilities, the only gripe was that the shower temperature was quite variable. Very comfortable too!
A really awesome place, the people staying there were awesome, so as the staff.
