awesome spot. lovely homely feel to the hostel. staff were fabulous! female only bathroom was nice. definitely recommend staying here!

the hostel is very close to the castle. the room is nice. my first stay in a dorm but it was a good experience. the cleaned it everyday. they provide milk and cereal all day. otherwise you can book breakfast voucher from the staff one day before. the staffs are nice and friendly.

Such a homey hostel. Has everything you need and more! Its the little things that count and this place has it all. Great location, great facilities, great beds, great showers .. And the staff is so lovely!! Stay here!!!

Everything is good , stuff very nice and location is very good

Quite literally and no exaggeration, the best hostel I've ever stayed at. Located literally opposite the railway up to the castle and a 1 euro bus ride from the main station. Really friendly staff, happy to help with everything. Rooms clean and beds comfy, bathrooms clean and good privacy. Kitchen easily accessible and there was even a free supply of various cereals and tea/coffee. Really great atmosphere - lounge area with tables and sofas and books and board games. And yet great value too. 5*

Always like staying here. Such a great place close to the castle and close to restaurants. Also just steps away from bus stop.

This is a very nice, clean hostel in the exciting old town district. It has a great location and the staff was excellent. She was very helpful.

Really best hostel I have been in ,very clean and quiet ,and Carmen is so nice eand patient ,I will choose to stay next next time .

Yes, to get to us you have to take a bus. It´s 1,20 € and it takes you in 15 minutes to our door. You´ll be in the heart of the Old Town then. As an alternative you can stay at Steffi´s Hostel near the main station, though. If you have catch a train in the early morning this might be the better choice. But be aware that if you want to see the main sights you have to catch a bus from there to the Old Town anyway.

It was great location, and service. I'm gonna go here if i have a chance to go to Heidelberg.

Perfect stay here. The location of this hostel is right in the middle of where you need to be in Heidelberg - at the base of the steps to the castle. Staff all excellent and facilities were faultless. Clean, homely and great value for money. 100% recommended.

The best hostel ever!

I've been to about 20 hostels in Europe, in very different countries. This one is by far one of the best. They know what backpackers need (bus timetables, the weather is indicated, restaurant, bars to go, main activities around), the staff is so friendly, always asking if they can do something for us. Nice kitchen, with a dishwasher, a big fridge. A common room vintage, with world maps, books etc... And the location... it cannot be better. Below the castle and next to the Alstadt. Don't hesitate

This is one classy hostel. A+ staff, facilities, and location!

Excellent and charming hostel with fantastic staff in lovely city.

I had a fantastic stay at the lotte hostel. The location is second to none being only a short walk to the castle and I immediately felt secure amongst the warm welcome I received from Carmen, I loved everything about this place. Perhaps having the reception open at 7am would be really handy but it's not a big deal. Thanks for the stay, I'll be back :)

I was happy there was a private bathroom, because I found it difficult to share the other bathroom with the opposite sex.
