Lotus is a good little Hotel run by Vural. The positives: good price, located amongst day-to-day Turkish community, the room had everything one needed (shower water was solid pressure & hot water), and the manager Vural is very helpful. The negatives: A long walk to Old Istanbul but it can be done (a nice view of the Bosphorus), there are no lifts so if your bag is heavy you carry it up many flights of stairs, there is a minaret about 30 metres away so 5.45am will be your wake up time.
