We stayed in a private double room, the mattress had big holes in it and the bed sheets also had tears in. The room got very stuffy as it only had a weak fan. The hostel advertises a laundry service but when I asked them to do my laundry the man said "he didn't feel like doing it today" and directed me to the closest laundrette. After a few days we checked out and went a few doors down to a much nicer hostel for a similar price. I wouldn't recommend love lane inn.

Besides being very dirty, a fact easy to overlook as a backpacker on a budget, a big problem was the staff. The owner of the hostel not only "forget" to inform us about the curfew, which of course left us locked out of the hostel, he also took his time in opening the gates. When he finally opened the gates an hour later, he found it necessary to yell at us for apparently no reason but for waking him. The hostel next door costs only 5 RM more (Red Inn Heritage) but much cleaner and friendlier!
