Creepy place. Smart idea with a fake window (you take the curtain up and tadaa! just wall there) didn't actually work for me. Can't imagine this place in summer. Painting walls brown is not the best solution too - room looked very dark and def not cozy. Since I was there in winter I got a heater, but using it equals hard choice - staying without light or freezing. For this price acceptable, but not higly recommended.

It was quite good place for stay. We were there in January, so no many people were there. This hostel wasn't special, but our stay there was nice. I think so, that's ok.

close to the center, rooms are fine, basic, but clean, bathrooms are ok, there could be one more for the amount of people on the floor, especially if its a day when its pretty booked. but overall, not a bad deal!!

It's in a good place. The staff is kindly and friendly. the kitchen equipment is poor (microwave oven, fridge and there was only one chair).

We stayed there only for one night and we were satisfied with everything. At least for short period it is good to stay at this place. Close vicinity to railway station and to the historical center combined with low cost make this hostel quite attractive.

There was one very friendly man at the reception, sorry, but that is the only positiv thing. there are no windows in the rooms so when you hang up your towels for drying there was high humidity inside and that special smell all the time. there are only 2 bathrooms and showers and toilettes aren't separated. this hostel is really not recommendable.

The toilets weren't clean, neither the one we had inside our room. They didn't clean the floor and didn't empty the rubbish bin. We had a room infront of the toilets, and it was very noisy, it has been imposible to sleep. When we came back at night, there was no one to open the door for us, we called to the phone written outside and knock the door plenty of times (24h reception is supposed). Finally one girl (nor staff, she was staying in the hostel) opened the door to us.

the sheets were not clean (human hairs), there was a bad smell in the kitchen and the dishes were not clean. The bathroom and the building is OK but there are no lockers. It would be better if somebody is available at the reception at all times.

I was extremely impressed at the cleaniliness of the hostel. The staff were very helpful and made our stay very nice by recommending places and providing information on places that we wanted to see. The hostel is in a great location, and was within walking distance to a shopping mall, and a short bus ride to a very nice beach.

Found a particular staff member extremely creepy to the point we left faro a day early, have never felt unsafe at a hostel untill now. Other staff were friendly enough, but not welcoming.

The night staff was absolutely horrible! I arrived at 1am (which I had advised them of previously), he didnt seem to want to find a bed for me. Then found one and left me scrounge around in the darkness, not showing me anything. I left ASAP in the morning and would not like to go back. While I was there another 2 girls I over heard complaining to management as lots of there items had gone missing - I reccommend not staying here.

What a disgusting concentration camp. Very unfriendly staff, guy looked pissed off when we arrived and although could speak great English was sooo unhelpful! Overheard a conversation where a girls towel was stolen by the maid, the man kept saying he could do nothing not even ask them and then accused the girl of being rude!! 22 beds in a tiny room, so hard to get in and out let alone actually sleep. Only stayed one night.

Quiet at night as most travellers use it as a stop gap between airports and other destinations in Portugal.Receipts need to be clearer and updated with full money details handed over e.g. price for number of nights... plus deposit for bedsheets fully refundable upon leaving the hostal.Dorm should be cleaned on a daily basis as it wasn't in a clean state on my first 2 days there but it was thoroughly cleaned on my 3rd day there. Good service and friendly staff. Excellent location. Thank you :)

They overbooked us but luckily someone cancelled so we were upgraded to a private room. The 20 bed dorm is also a 24 bed one and very cramped... It had good ac at least.

HORRIBLE! Only 16 hours prior to arrival I received an email saying my first booking had been canceled. What if I had bought a flight ticket to Faro? There was no hostel nor hotel available in Faro that day. When we finally arrived we were shocked with a dirty n tiny room WITHOUT A WINDOW. Imagine a room without a window during the Portuguese summer! Toilet was disgusting. Impolite and unfriendly staff. Chcek this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QChcZr3wpQ or type Low Cost Inn on YouTube.
