I read some not so kind comments about that place before but now I don't understand them. We've been there out of season in the beginning of december, but the room was clean, even that it was small and the light in the room has less than 20 W, but the atmosphere inside was really nice. And they have a wonderfull roof anyway. I can recommend it for a short time trip as well

This place is really noisy. The rooms are tiny and have no windows to the outside. I imagine staying there is what being in prison is like. On the upside, it is cheap. The free drinks that are advertised did not materialise. I would not recommend staying here unless you are a) broke b) desperate c) enjoy small noisy hostels.

We had a pleasant stay at the Lost Cost Inn. The staff were very accommodating and were very happy to help and assist us. Would recommend staying here for a quiet and comfortable place to stay.

The guy running this hostel was always in a bad mood and abusing the guests, and made us feel uncomfortable anywhere near the hostel. he really made a big stain on a beautiful city. good central location though

The staff couldn't find our reservation and refused to look the reference number we had with us. They told us to go to an internet cafe to print the booking confirmation. The room did not have a private shower/toilet, even though we had booked a "private ensuite". The place was so different from the description on the web page that we thought we were in a wrong hostel. And we didn't get the free drinks we were promised. The place was clean and location ok but that's about it.

We really liked the guy, Kalid, from the breakfast staff; he was helpful and kind! We liked the room and the location 4mins walk from downtown.

The breakfast is very poor (coffee or milk, bread with butter or marmelade and a juice). And you have to rush, it's only beetween 8 and 9am. The room with toilet is like having a room, the WC and paper wall beetween, with no roof to seperate from the room.

We stay at the low cost inn only 1 night. In our room, there are no window, it was dirty and in a very bad district. We don't recommend this hostel.

Price includes breakfast which is a plus, as is the free wifi. People complain about breakfast, but it sounds the same at every other hostel we looked at in Faro.
