A really nice hostel where they really have that little extra in attention. They upgraded out room, just because it was emty anyhow, the fixed the airport transfer and they know what service minded is!

Luan Vu is a great choice to stay in saigon. the staffs are very friendly and helpful. They are always ready to answer any questions you ask. I'm very impressed with how kind they took care of us. thank you Luan Vu. You're the best

I really never thought that Luan Vu's room will like a big hotel. It's nice, clean and more important, it has a safe deposit box in the room.

My sister and I stayed at Luan Vu at the beginning and end of our Vietnam travels. In the meantime the incredibly kind and helpful staff stored three big bags for us; they also went to great lengths to put us back in our same very clean and comfortable room, and even got it ready for us straight away when we checked back in ridiculously early off an overnight train! They were all wonderful and went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable, I would highly recommend it!

Refering to the comments on Luan Vu of Hostel Com I chose . I got both of good and bad point . Comprehensively I think L.V is good but expected more fluent talking .

We booked 2 nights. When we arrived (9AM), we were expected, made comfortable and with many apologies advised that they had a technical problem in the room allocated for us. It was obviously an emergency. As the hotel was fully booked, they arranged even before our arrival for an alternative accommodation in a hotel just 3 minutes down the street (same price). We got our "new" room by 9:15 and were able to get a rest after our night long flight to Vietnam. Good experience all around.

Room was very comfortable,clean and well equipped,fridge,plasma tv and electronic safety box..very nice and helpful lady boss..highly recommended

Really great place to stay, staff were so friendly and helpful, they also had good English! Location was very central! We couldn't have asked for a cleaner room it was lovely and they were cleaned daily! Safety deposit boxes in rooms! We booked our tour to the chi chu tunnels with the hotel and it was a great day! Would highly recommend staying here!

My stay there was wonderful in all aspects, and I would recommend this place to anyone. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It's clean. Everything functions properly. The location is perfect. Free breakfast in the morning. All in all a great experience.

A great hostel. Friendly staff. Excellent location, right in the heart of the backpacker area. Our only issue was when Luan Vu didn't have a room available for one of the nights that we wanted to stay. They helpfully organised a room in the hostel next door for us. Unfortunately the hostel next door was awful. Perhaps in future they should recommend somewhere else if they are full.

A really nice hostel, close to everything, and quiet at night. The best in Saigon.

Location is on the main backpacker street. Good if you want to party. Bad if you want to relax / sleep (very very noisy in the room). Breakfast was toast and fruit. Our 3 bed bedroom was actually a double + single. Rooms were clean and tidy, so was bathroom. Nothing special here, but okay if you want to be close to the action and not spend much. Personally I wouldn't stay here again.

Amazing place to stay, can't wait to go back!

Our room was very very nice, with high ceilings and a big window. Set back from the busy street, Luan Vu was quiet and comfortable. Not many opportunities for meeting other travelers, but otherwise a great stay. The staff recommended excellent restaurants nearby, although we had better luck arranging flights and other transportation through a travel agent around the corner (their prices were much cheaper then what the hotel staff quoted for us). I would recommend overall.

Great location, with good restaurants and bars just around the corner. Walking distance to many sights as well as the Saigon River. Friendly and polite staff. Not a party-hostel - it's a hotel with mostly private ensuite rooms. But nice and spacious room. :-)

I stayed for 5 days in Luan Vu - we ordered the taxi to collect us on arrival - a little steep in comparison to other things in Ho Chi Minh perhaps but well worth for a safe journey to our hostel and because the driver had to wait for us to come out from getting our Visa processed and going through immigration which took an additional hour! Some people complain regarding rooms without windows - this was fine for us as we were there to see Vietnam not stay in our room!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Luan Vu. The staff are very helpful & friendly and provide an extraordinary service. The location is really central to the main city precinct in HCMC. Value for money is extraordinary and the rooms are very clean and tidy and are cleaned every day. The staff are great with good English and are helpful with pointers on restaurants tours etc. very very happy with Luan Vu.
