Awesome hostel, great bathrooms, only slight downside is there isn't much in silom but maybe that's good. Cause it's quiet, easy to get around always cheap taxis outside and close to the AirTran. Highly recommended

This was a fantastic hostel for my stay in Bangkok. It's a little far from all the touristy places most people want to go to like Khao Sahn but the taxi rides are so cheap that it's no big deal. In fact, it's good sometimes to be in a quiet area. The staff was very friendly and it was no problem meeting people to hang out with in the commons room. The hostel is kept quite clean and the air conditioner in the room was more than adequate for escaping the oppressive Thai heat. Overall 10/10

A nice hostel, close to the Silom metro and Sala daeng train stations. Besides that close to the crazy PatPong. Everything was very clean and there was a great atmosphere. For me there is only one reason why you shouldn't go to this hostel: when you want to walk to your bed after a crazy night at Koa san road. Now I had to take the taxi for about 100 baht.

Such a great hostel!!! My girlfriend and I arrived here hot sweaty and exhausted off of a 6 hour journey from Tokyo and felt immediately at home here. This hostel had all of the great things a good hostel should - friendly staff, great resources, clean and comfortable rooms, and a fun atmosphere.

Loved the ambiance, it was quite nice, got to meet a lot of people and get some drinking buddies for Kao Sarn Road. A few items to improve: 1) Distances in the map provided by the hostel are off... just let us know it will take 20 minutes or so to get to the metro stations. 2) The tour services are a bit expensive compared to other hotels in same road. Maybe this is not the hostel's fault but just be aware. 3) WiFi: was a bit off sometimes and was high jacked by other users.

Excellent hostel in Bangkok. The location is very good, close to the sky train and the real city. Especially good place to stay if you're gay, you can hit the bars in the area. The rooms are standard, but the design of the common areas merits a special mention. Beautiful bathrooms/showers and TV room. The different events the hostel hosts make your stay even more enjoyable.

lub d silom is a really awsome hostel, i stayed 5 nights here and enjoyed every minute of it,i cant think of anything to complain about, the only thing was the showers and toilets on my floor were out of order due to renovation so we had to go upstairs to others but that is no drama. overall this would have to be one of the best ever. Thanks lub d

Best hostel I've stayed in for 4 months. The staff are very helpful and friendly, great facilities, free wifi, computers, TV room with loads of DVDs. Large common area. They serve food and alcohol. Great location.

Good price, fun atmosphere, room secure, not as clean as reviews indicated (shower was clogged and filled up the shower with water), front desk personnel ok but not superb in service as expected from reading reviews, wifi internet was consistently spotty, location a bit further away from the closest BTS stop than preferred, luggage storage not quite secure as bags sit around outside the storage room and can easily be taken, air flow not so good in room and there was a musky smell where i slept.

Solid hostel, air con in the rooms, everything cleaned perfectly, decent priced beer. The only small problem is how far away it is from the nightlife of the main spots Khao San RD etc

The only thing bad is the smell of wet dirty laundry when you first go into the resident area. But once you get past it, it is fine :)
