The 4 bed dorm we stayed in was huge and very clean with big lockers. The toilet blocked a few times but the staff were very friendly and quick to deal with it. It included a free breakfast which was nice and a bit of a bonus. Located close to the subway and from there one can see Beijing easily. We went on the hostel's Mutianyu great wall tour which cost 280 each, a bit pricey but worth it. Not many people on the wall, good to meet other travelers, definitely the easiest/most efficient way!

All the building work going on in the Hutong made for a very dusty area. Close to underground and easy to get to all attractions. Breakfast basic - toast, tea and coffee. Wifi speed very slow and didn't always work. Staff were friendly and spoke reasonable English.

Very helpful staff. Had a wonderful stay for 4 days. All services working and friendly staff members. Located in the midst of the hutong which added to the atmosphere.

I suggest to ask if the works on the house behind the hostel are over: in order not to have a dril in your ears at 8.00 in the morning.

It's really a nice hostel with a good atmosphere. The staff is really nice and helpfull. It's ideal for tourits like me because it's not far from the Forbidden City and Tian'anmen Square. I also took a guide tour to Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tombs and it was really worth it. The only things I could reproach the hostel for are the common shower and toilets. I would prefer some privacy. And the breasfast wasn't that good but it's not of first importance, especially that it's free !

Excellent staff, very helpful. They do much more than I expect from hostel's staff. We missed the train and they helped us to find other hotel in Beijing and change our reservation in Xi'an althought we've already check out.

We were very pleased with our four night stay. The taxi driver didn't know where the hostel was but called and got us to e right alley. We were wandering for a while but the man working at the hostel rescued us and got us settled in. The breakfast was much better than we expected and the wi-fi worked well for a hostel. We loved the heater in our room and nice hot showers. The staff helped us book our onward train journey and also helped us with tours and sightseeing. Very authentic location too

Great staff, clean rooms, and comfy beds! Nicest hostel in Beijing. Their is construction right behind the hostel, and they work all night, so even though the beds and rooms are awesome, we didn't sleep a wink because the construction goes on all night and it is super loud and the rooms have no insulation. I will absolutely stay at this place again, but will call to check the status of construction before booking. Definitely the cleanest place and nicest staff!

Not top notch architecturally, but very clean. In a some random back alleyway, but has all necessary amenities including free internet. One of the few places in China that gives you good free coffee for breakfast. Take their Jin Shin Ling tour of the Great wall. Only beef I have is that THEY DON'T TAKE CREDIT CARD. The ten dollars you spend reserving on credit card does not go towards payment of the dorm.

No fault of the hostel directly but adjacent building works led to a slightly noisier stay than expected. Two common rooms provided the basic requirements when eating the simple breakfast but did not help to create an atmosphere unlike some other hostels which enjoy a more lavish common space. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and the rooms were clean and represented good value for money.

I really enjoyed my stay here, it is run by the family who are there to help you out with anything. Therebare 2 comfortable common rooms, the dorms have lockers, plug points by the beds, lights and I had a bathroom too, breakfastis included what more could I need? Less than 10 minutes walk from the subway lines. Very comfortable stay.

Amazing staff - very helpful, friendly and nice. Hostel was good but shower wasn't working properly when we were there and there were some renovations going on so a bit loud. Good to have free breakfast and tea/coffee, and the communal areas were ok.

Big and comfortable room with comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location - down a traditional local street - was beautiful and close to the subway. Breakfast was good, although a bit cramped as everyone gets it from the counter, and you have to eat it by 9 so not good if you want a sleep in.

A decent hostel. Can't say anything very bad about it, but there are many better ones in Beijing. (been to 3 others). It is located is a pretty shady looking Hutong.
