The Lucky Family Hostel was amazing. My friends and I stayed in a private room which was very clean. We had internet access in our room which was convenient. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at the Lucky Family Hostel again.

This place was awesome. It was my first experience staying at a hostel, and wasn't really sure what to expect. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and it was a pleasure meeting them all. This hostel was the main reason why my vacation rocked. The common rooms' a great place to talk to other people on their own adventures and great way pass time and meet new people.

Located a lovely part of Beijing's Hutong. Convenient for getting around either by bike or train. Upgraded when the room originally booked was full at no extra cost. Hostel doesn't have a party, party atmosphere but it does the job nevertheless. Female travellers be warned! There was a man waiting outside the hostel one night. He followed us up the street and grabbed us. He ran when we shouted. However, he was still outside when we returned. Staff did not seem to understand us when we told them.

Very well located, just 2 minutes walking to a subway station.... Very friendly and helpful staff, they helped us organizing our tours and assisted to buy train/bus tickets. They offer a simple free breakfast which is nice but the common areas are quite small but anyway it was a great stay overthere, highly recommended.

I've been to several hostels in China, and was positively surprised by the service and awesome atmosphere in Lucky Family Hostel. The staff is very friendly and willing to help and answer all your questions. Very inexpensive and with breakfast included!!! The hostel and the rooms are very clean, no bad bathroom smell as it is usual in most hostels (even the public one)! Really loved the stay there and will definitely go there again!

They are an unusual staff, when you ask them and you get a clear answer, if they do not know they check it out. Mostly here in China I have, when asking, got wrong answers only for answering smth. They are firm and polite in handling demanded official matters like ckeck in and reliable with money. They also give the guests that extra little care like telling me it is not good to feed oneself constantly on nudles (in boxes) or asking did I find what I was out for today.

Really great little hostel set in the Hutongs, only a few mintues walk from Subway Line 5. Lots of restaurants not too far away. We orginally booked to stay in a 6 bedroom hostel but on arrival was told it was full, so we were given a 3 bedroom room with no extra cost. Free breakfast great and staff are more than happy to help. Would definitely stay again :)

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is okay - try the chinese bread, it's much better than the sliced stuff! We went on the tour to the Great Wall at Mutianyu - it was very pleasant. We had a great day there.

Great hostel- only a few mins walk from a metro station which is very handy in the Beijing Winters. Good heating, good sheets and comfy enough beds, with friendly and very helpful staff who went out of their way to help me when I needed it! Common rooms are a little small, but nicely kitted out. Would stay here again!

This has been the best hostel I have ever been to:) The staff is so friendly and made me feel instantly at home and even helped me to get my luggage to my room! I had a private room, which was really nice and had everything it needed. The wifi could be a bit better in the room itself, but you can also hang out in the lovely and cosy common rooms! The breakfast was great and had way more than I expected

Lucky Family Hostel is a home away from home. The English speaking staff is friendly and always happy to help. The rooms and common rooms are very clean and the free breakful is much appreciated. Overall, I would recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Beijing - long or short term. The location is also excellent as it's walking distance to Wangfujing, Sanlitun and Nanluguoxiang. I had a bit of an issue with the water pressure in my private room, but other than that, my stay was perfect.

One of my favourite hostels I've stayed in on 4 continents. Pros: Good value, friendly staff, practical tourist info, great heating, great security, small quiet rooms for good sleep, powerpoints next to beds, cool area around hutons, close to Metro stop Cons: Breakfast not worth waking up for (terrible bread, rather variety like porridge or noodles), no kitchen facilities, wifi drops out every few hours, no facebook :(

The Lucky Family Hostel is a rather new hostel, it is located quite close to the subway. The staff is helpful and there is a lot of information about interesting spots in Beijing (Great Wall, Ming tombs, Peking opera, etc.) and organised tours, plus free coffee, tea and hot water. The single room is a bit small but I didn't even noticed it, since I was outside most of the time. The hostel is convenient and worth the deal in terms of value for money.

The staff is very freindly and helpful. We got a metro plan, in which they marked the stations with all the sights. We had a private double bed room which was very nice and cosy. They also offer a free breakfast every day. Actually it was just toast with jam and with peanut butter. We could also take tea and coffe everytime at the reception. In general I would recommend this hostel and also come back again.
