Its all depend on how long you stay in Amsterdam! If you are there for 2-3 days and you like to party very late, well may be I suggest you to find something closer from Central... Theres millions of hostel right down town... But if you are staying a bit longer and you dont want to be in the middle of the action 24/7 well Lucky Lake is a really nice place to go!

Cool place grooving funkedelic music until 11pm in the country where you stay in small caravan campers and use a kitchen to cook and sample the lovely Dutch food you buy from a store in a village nearby. This place is completely self service. You are asked to wash up after yourself in all instances and must pay to ride a bike to get food or anything. You can also use their shuttle for 1 Euro each way to get to the Metro station. No one was snobby or unfriendlyas is common in Europe. it was cool.

really nice and friendly staff, great location for ppl who dont only want to be in the city, but also want to go for a swim in the lake, kayaking, cycling etc. well equipped kitchen, but i would not recommend this place for single travellers, more to friends, couples and families.
