A superb hostel with superb helpful staff. Nothing was to much bother for them. We asked if we could park our motorcycles in a no parking area as the rain had made the ground to soft for our motorcycles stands, No problem after explaining why. A very well run hostel with a super shuttle service. Next time my son and I ride in Holland, Lucky Lake hostel will be our preferred place to stay. Well done and thanks to all involved at Lucky Lake Hostel. John and Matt.

Lucky Lake was a wonderful hostel, definately the best one we stayed at. The location was great if you want to be nestled in a more country environment but certainly is out of the way for those looking at being close to the hustle of the lively Amsterdam core. Simply we got the best nights sleep here and felt the safest. The accessibility to the lake and the dutch countryside makes Lucky Lake worth a couple nights stay and the friendly and helpful staff will make you want to stay a lot longer.

The only downside I would share with you was that we had no heating and I felt really cold at night! A staff member told us it was free to get the heater in the beginning of May but it was already the second day and there was no heater left! Anyway we had a great time in your hostel, everything was very clean and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Next time I will be expecting the bottle of wine and I hope we will have more time to walk around and see the lake!

Probably one of the best hostels we've stayed at on our Europe trip so far. The super staff really add to the vibrancy of the already funky set-up. Internet/WI-FI is free and really good, the free breakfast is very tasty and the toilets and showers are clean. Our room was spacious, snug and right next to a group of duck and ducklings on a small canal. Walk & see the millionaires' houses down the road! The trip into city is not arduous and the shuttle to and from the station makes it easy.

A little expensive compared to all other hostels used.

The things that bothered us during the stay: -there was no wi-fi connection -the heating in the red dorm was almost non existant and only when we asked to rent a heater (which was given us for free, thank you) the staff aknowledged the problem -the curtain rack in the red dorm would fall every time someone moved the curtains. -the bulk bed was low, you can't sit on the first floor of the bed because you risk hurting your head. Other than that, it was an okay stay.

The hostel is cosy, nice. The staffs are young, friendly and very helpful. There is also kichten with enough space. The lake near the hostel is also very beautiful. We are lucky that we visit it the day before we left. It is amazing. Although the hostel is not in the city center, but the shuttle from the hostel to the metro station takes around 10 min, which is much short than I expect.

The only thing that I didn't like was the lack of working wi-fi and having to wait for the only internet terminal available. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the quiet and privacy that we got staying in a caravan. The staff were incredibly nice (especially Matty) and the atmosphere was fantastic with the funky decorations and the adorable caravans.

I think that if the reception and the breakfast was offered earlier I would have given a 10/10, that was my only complaint. :)

This is a good place to stay in the warmer months and with a group. Planning is essential due to last train and shuttle times. A good place to stay if you want a more relaxed experience.
