Yes, as people say, it\'s not near the city centre. That\'s part of what makes Lucky Lake so great! It\'s pretty quick to get to, and really great to have a relaxing place to go to after a busy day in town. The staff are funny and lovely, the showers have real taps (not push-button) and the beds are clean and comfy. I will recommend this place to any friends who visit Amsterdam, it\'s a wonderful experience.

the place is absolutely amazing, located on the outskirts of Amsterdam, and easily reachable by metro. the shuttle bus to the camping works pretty well and the breakfast exceed our expectations. The caravan was big but a bit cold because our heater wasn't fully working. All in all the place is a great value for money. I'm definitely going back there for the summer.

We loved the vibe at Lucky Lake. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. My only complaint is that the wifi connection was not very stable, but I had a wonderful time all in all. We stayed there in April, so the outdoors showers and toilets were a little chilly at times but always very clean. I would recommend this hostel to anyone who is looking to spend time in Amsterdam, but also chill out and relax in a more rural setting.

Inside the caravan was very cold, the windows are poorly insulated and the heater is far to be enough to get the room warm. Also, the lights in the room are not very powerful... so it's quite dark inside. They offer bikes to rent, unfortunately they were too big for me :( .. they are good for people taller than 1.60 meters.. The location near the lake and Amsterdam is great! The shuttles are frequent enough.

I had an awesome time at Lucky Lake. I really liked that it was outside of the city - though some may see that as an inconvenience. There is a lot to do around the hostel including the lovely little town of Abcoude, which is about thirty minutes walking and about ten by bike (which you can rent at the hostel for pretty cheap). The showers were nice and had plenty of hot water UNTIL a ton of people showed up...if the hostel is packed, expect to wait a long time for hot water and breakfast.
