Loved the location and atmosphere; older female traveling alone, felt safe, staff always making sure I had what I needed, and volunteered services I never thought to ask for , like free laundry . only regret is their wifi was down for my entire stay. I need wifi to stay in touch regularly with my husband and I would have stayed longer with wifi. food is great and a nice change from 2 months of home stays while taking spanish. Owner and chef is Canadian and makes fantastic food. Hi to Nixon!

Beautiful place on the beach. Not exactly the backpacking scene. I travel alone and only met couples there. This is far from San Juan Del Sur. Need a car. The local bus can take you there but not much to do at the hotel if you don't have a car. No surf board to rent. Closest beach for surf rentals is 20 min bus ride + 45 min walk. Internet did not work at all. My room had been given away although it was only 6pm. Waited 1.5 hours for bus from there because staff didn't remember no bus on Sunday.
