The location is very good, just 5 minutes walk from the beach and from the Leblon mall. Luiz is very friendly and funny. We stayed in the Frevo room with an ensuite bathroom, which was a plus, and it is very big. For Rio, compared to other hotels, this is good value for your money :)

It was a very pleasant stay in this greatly located hostel! We would especially like to point out Luiz' steady willingness to help and thank him for his great hints and insides of Rio de Janeiro!

Luiz was extremely welcoming, a fantastic host and guide to Rio. The room was big, with a good sized communal area to hang out in.

Luiz provided an outstanding stay for our trip to rio... The accommodation was clean and spacious and located on the beautiful leblon beach. During our stay Luiz helped us with all our questions which made life so much easier. We would highly recommend staying here; we have travelled to 100s of hostels over the years and this was definitely one of our most comfortable and enjoyable stays!

Very nice BB on a main street in Leblon and very close to Leblon beach. All main sights are easily reachable by public transport. The host Luiz is very helpful and friendly.

Best accomodation in Rio! Luiz was great very helpful!! English was great! He even helped us buy a sim card because we couldnt speak portuguese! Breakfast was fantastic! Those smoothies were delicious! Wifi was great in the rooms. bathrooms clean and the rooms were also sparkling and cleaned daily! Perfect location! only a couple blocks from the city! We will definitely go back when we visit rio again!1 Thanks Luiz!

Excellent location - just 4 mins to the beach , great breakfast, safe place. It's quiet - don't expect to meet many people, which from my point of view is an advantage . Be aware of restaurant downstairs, however it did not bother me that much. Overall I had great stay at this guest house.

Leblon is a nice place to stay close to the two beaches but for this price it is also possible to stay one block from Ipanema or Copacabana, it is an apartment . Doesn't have much space to build atmosphere or character since the only shared place is the living room. He sells water for 5 Reals where it is only 1,70 in the supermarket nearby (a hostel shouldn't operate with touristic prices as it is a budget option for acommondation)

We would definitely recommend this hostel. Location is amazing, close to many shops, shopping centre, beautiful beaches. Lots of buses pass nearby. The owner is a very amazing person and gives helpful tips about the city. Breakfast is really good, every day different brazilian fruits to try !!!

Great location. Luiz is extremely friendly and helpful although we had some English translation problems at times. If looking to stay in a quiet, safe location close to Ipanema beach - this is perfect. Thanks Luiz!

STAY HERE! Luiz is awesome. He is kind, hospitable and always has a smile on his face. Location can't be beat. He even let us keep our food in the fridge, cutting down on major costs. I've spent a LOT of money for some dodgy places in Rio. This place is nice, in the BEST neighborhood walking distance to the best beaches. It's a win win. You won't regret it. It's like staying with a friend of a friend. :)

I stayed with my friend for 5 nights at Luiz Leblon Guest House, and we had a grat experiance. The highlights are the excellent location, safe and 2 blocks from leblin beach, the hpmemade breakfast and ofcourse Luiz hospitality...He really enjoys giving advice and tips...he suggested really cool things to do...I highly recomend it!
