Favourite hostel on our trip around croatia. Luka was very welcoming and could not have been more helpful. We originally booked for one night but exteneded our stay to two nights, as we loved Luka's lodge and Hvar. Would recommend a stay here, great atmosphere and the island itself was beautiful! Luka has run the guesthouse in hvar for a long time and has lots of local knowledge of the area, he recommended an excellent secluded bay and gave us excellent advice about travelling to Dubrovnik.
Even at the end of the season, Luka was extremely kind and generous. Enjoyed a group dinner on balcony and heard about island culture and history. Was upgraded to a private room at no cost due to limited number of guest in mid-October. Bit of a hike from the ferry, but well situated once found. Excellent value.
Wonderfully friendly hosts with a great atmosphere. Luka encourages socialising at the lodge organising BBQ's and evening drinks. He also recommended nice walks and beaches which were really good.
Luka is extremely welcoming and friendly and we had a great time staying with him. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location being so close to the ferry and the centre of town was brilliant. Ps we loved the freshly caught Sardines Luka! :-)
Luka is a very helpful and kind host...picked us up from town Because we had a lot of heavy luggage and even helped us organise a car to hire. Fantastic !!
Luka is extremely friendly and very helpful. He will make you fell very welcome. Great common areas. Good for cooking your own meals and meeting other travellers. Beautiful view of the city and ocean from the front porch. Location is great. The private two bed room we stayed in was very small but served its purpose. Also our hot water wasn't working, good thing the weather was warm. Would recommend to other travellers.
Great place - very chilled out and the owner Luka is lovely. Very welcoming and great social places to chill out and chat to people. Lovely clean double rooms as well.
The most outsding aswpects of the hostel were the atmoshpehre and staff. The common space is very convenient to interact with other travelers. Loved the dinner organized by Luka. Very good hostel in general.

I can testify to previous positive reviews about both Luka and his lodge. Luka couldn't do enough to help you. Flawless. If I had too mention one thing that could require improvement it would be the maintenance of his rental bikes. But he charges next to nothing so who cares.
Luka is awesome! He is a super nice guy and even picked us up and took us to the bus station. This hostel is located on top of the hill, about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the port (lots of stairs if you are carrying a backpack!) but trust me its worth the walk! It has a huge wraparound deck complete with ocean views. As for the rooms, I shared a twin and it was a bit small but clean. The best part of the hostel is Luka's bbq's, great food and perfect for meeting people!
Luka is an amazing host, he works all day and night to make your stay as enjoyable and nice as possible. The hostel has a great location, just 5min walk from the centre of Hvar and is a in a beautiful and safe location. This hostel is great for all ages of travellers, it is a nice place for older travellers to relax but also great for young travellers like myself to socialise, predrink, meet people and party. Luka often organises nights out and has regular BBQ's which are amazing.
Luka is a very welcoming and generous host. The beds were very comfortable. There are several kitchens spread throughout the hostel making it easy to self cater. There were plenty of opportunities to socialise in the communal areas and we really enjoyed Luka's homemade dinners!
Luka, the owner, was really kind and courteous with us all the time! The room is very clean and cozy, despite being well located, close to all the city's attractions. Totally recommended!
Amazing, welcoming friendly staff, who attend to your every need. Hostel is located 15 minutes by bus from the old town, but they run regularly and are very cheap. The view from the terrace is picturesque. Also Milkas breakfast is a must!

Had a blast at this hostel. Only stayed one night but had a great bbq with some other backpackers I met and then went out to the bars later. Great for solo backpackers, definitely would recommend. Luka is an absolute beauty!
We didn't stayed in Luka's Lodge because was fully booked, but in the site didn't mentioned that, only when I get there they had told me that I would go to a different house, much worse and the good atmosphere is in Luka's Lodge were the BBQ are done.
Two nice kitchens, the dorm for six had lots of space. A short walk from town, so not bad location either. Helpful staff, free tea, coffee and fruits. Two kitchens, so enough room for everyone. Good place, if you ask me.
Best hostel we've been to on our 5 month trip! Felt more like a hotel/apartment than a hostel. We had booked a twin room for three nights, and walked into our own spacious apartment complete with kitchenette (fridge, stove, cutlery, kettle, etc) and our own ensuite bathroom!! It was amazing to have a room like that after travelling for so long. Everything was clean, close to everything and there is wifi in main building. Luka and his staff are great and incredibly friendly!
