Luka's lodge was amazing. If I ever go back to Hvar this will be where I stay and I would recommend this hostel to anyone travelling to Hvar.

This is not an ordinary hostel experience. Luka is incredibly friendly to all his guests. He is genuinely excited to have visitors. Not only did he welcome us into his home, he served us coffee, drove us to the beach, an prepared a delicious meal of fresh fish and wine. If you want an authentic and relaxing experience, Luka's Lodge is the best choice.

Luka is very kind and will gladly give advice on what to do, where to go. He's very friendly and will approach you to help, talk, or offer advice, but is not pushy and gives guests as much space as they want. We had never been to Hvar Island and had read that he could give advice, and he surpassed expectations by offering a stay at another house that he has in a secluded bay (10 minutes from Hvar by car) at the same price as the private room we had reserved at the hostel. (It was low season.)

I was only here for two nights but Luka was a great host. I was travelling on my own and didn't meet other travellers at the lodge due to the low season but it was still an enjoyable stay. Luka was very open at giving information about the island and other parts of Croatia. He prepared coffee in the mornings and was nice to have a chat with. He even gave me some lavender oil from his family farm as a going away gift. The place is very clean, tidy, comfortable and close to the port. Good place!

This is the best place to stay in Hvar and Croatia. Luka is a lovely and exceptional person that helps you with everything! The room is amazing, comfortable bed, very clean bathrooms and kitchen! Me and my girlfriend felt ourselves at home. Luka made barbecue for us and he's always ready to help the guests with a smile! One of the best hostels I have ever stayed. Congrats, Luka! Greetings from Brazil!

After 5 months of backpacking, this is the best hostel I've stayed in. Luka is the nicest owner I've met and he takes incredible pride in his lodge. The rooms are new, clean and have a/c. The mattresses on the bunks are so comfortable and you're given sheets and two towels. Luka and the lady put on a BBQ for a small group of us and it was magnificent; we didn't lift a finger. They always ask if you need a coffee or anything else. I enjoyed everything about my stay at Luka's.

A very nice place in a quiet neighborhood very close to the city center. Luka is a super friendly guy, always willing to give some advice. The facilities are nice and clean, and the outdoor cooking area is great! I didn't eat any of the homecooked bbq Luka made but the other travelers there said it was excellent. The homemade olive oil was fantastic! Highly recommend this place.

Luka was an absolutely fabulous host with all the facilities you could ever need! I even used the fireplace outside to grill some steaks one night. Our second night there, he cooked us an amazing barbecue and got everyone staying there all together. I'd definitely recommend staying here. He was extremely accommodating.

Luka was lovely and makes you feel welcome! The hostel is downstairs from his home and the dorms are nice. In the residential part of Hvar so you get to see more arround. Only a 5-10minute walk to the ferry port. Would reccomend!

This was one of the best hostels I have stayed in. Luka is a great host, and he owns a very clean and beautiful home in one of the best parts of Croatia. Very easy to get to from the ferry/boat. You feel as though you are part of his family when staying here. The beds are by far the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a hostel. Close to the center of town, yet just outside so it is quiet. I would definitely recommend that if you are going to Hvar, stay here.

Luka was BRILLIANT. Very accommodating and friendly. Talk about service with a smile. I went just before peak season so everywhere was a little quiet. It the summer Luka's is meant to be a very buzzy hub. I would certainly recommend.
