Great atmosphere at Luka's Lodge! When we arrived we were greeted warmly by Luka and the rest of the staff and offered cold drinks and snacks. The room wasn't exactly 'superior' or 'deluxe' as written in the description but we did have a comfy bed, a clean bathroom, small balcony and a fridge which came in handy. The pub crawls that run every night are great and a good way to make friends. We were there when they organised a BBQ for everyone which was really good fun! Overall highly recommend!
Charming stay, location and Luka! :) Worth the money... would recommend to friends.
We had a great stay at Luka's Lodge, the location was good, the rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The fish BBQ on our first night was exceptional, and the atmosphere at the hostel was really lively. Luka was really kind and let us borrow various things to take to the beach such as a coolbox and matts to lie on. Would highly recommend this hostel and a visit to Hvar is an absolute must.
Amazing week at Luka's- we loved it. Great location and fun hostel full of fun people. Hvar is beautiful, fun and really clean too. Sandra was super nice and helpful with great suggestions of places to go and Geoff was great at getting the party started! Had a couple of amazing BBQ's courtesy of Luka with amazing fresh fish and meat. Would definitely recommend - perfect location and great vibe! Thanks so much guys!

Fantastic hostel, the staff including Jeff, Maria and Sandra are so much fun and full of resources. Luka is the friendly owner who tries to help stranded hostelers find lodging even if the place is booked solid. I can't say enough good things about this place. Would definitely come back here again.
We were travelling around Europe for a month, this was with any doubt the BEST hostel we stayed in. Staff are extremelly friendly, they take eveybody out together every night and Luka was like our grandpa (bringing fresh food in the morning, and taking us from/to the bus station). It really felt like a big family. If I ever come back to Hvar, I will definitely go to Luka's lodge!
I definitely recommend this hostel! Luka and the staff are all lovely, the location is good and the outdoor kitchen is great for the summer. Having a fridge each dorm is also a great touch! Thanks for a nice stay
Nice hostel that was exceptionally clean. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about local area/activities. Definitely aimed at younger travellers however - we felt old at 29! Overall, would recommend!
Nice hostel with really helpful staff, a good place to stay
Great hostel. They provide an awesome family-style sit-down dinner for about $18/person (including fish, side dishes, and wine) and take you to Kiva bar if you'd like to go out. Only complaint is that they made us switch rooms on a two-night stay for unknown reasons, but they gave us a slight discount to make up for it.
Extremely expensive for a bed in a cramped dorm room that was filthy. Person who checked me in showed me to my room and that was it. She started explaining the sights and events to other new arrivals but chose to ignore me.
Very friendly staff, excellent location, clean rooms and A/C worked perfectly.
Quite expensive, but so is the whole island (bring lots of dosh - especially if you want to go out at night). The staff are lovely and very keen to help/take you out. There's loads of beach gear you can borrow. Luka is great, he'll tell you the best places to go and how to get there. Follow the instructions on this site on how to get to his hostel, they're really good. Don't touch the cats, they're crazy wild things :P Try the figs, they're amazing - grown in Luka's neighbour's garden.
Fantastic stay- Had a superb location, 5 minutes from everything you needed to get to. From the off stay were friendly- especially sandra and Luka. Sandra, was very accomodating, informing my friend and I of everything we needed to see/ do whilst in Hvar. We certainly kept ourselves busy over the 7 days we were there. Although we were seperate from the main hostel, in an apartment it was nice to have our own space and have the option to mingle with the festivities each night!! Overall Super!

Private rooms are not attached to main building and does not have internet. Really friendly staff.
Oh well goodness where do I start, Luka's Lodge is fantastic place, you can fly, 18 hours across the whole planet, walk into the hostel and rather then get to know the local culture, eat the food and drink with locals, you can just hang out with the same people from your own country! It is fantastic! Not once did I feel I was in a foreign country! Also there is a Croatia worker named Maria there that loves and I mean LOVES nutella. Ask her about her nutella story when you meet her!
Luka's is a good spot while in Hvar. Close to port but far enough away. The deck is a nice spot to chill out and they are always organizing something to do. AC in room is a plus too!!!
Really good hostel, always organising activities for guests like BBQs. My sister became ill whilst we stayed here and the staff were so helpful. Luka drove us to the medical centre in Hvar at around 10pm, waited with us, then to the ferry port when we had to return to the mainland which was very kind. Only negative was that we ended up in a room with a fan rather than air con which wasn't ideal in the summer heat! Computer facilities, especially the printer, were also really helpful.
We were greeted with very friendly staff and residents at this hostel. Virtually every night after pre-drinking at the hostel, they arranged for chauffeurs to take hoards of drunken people down to the main port to party until the wee hours of the morning. For young travellers who are on the island to party, Luka's is a pretty decent bet.
