Fantastic all around- highly recommend this location. Great staff, delicious food, and excellent central location. I really enjoy the fact that they have an extra kitchen with some equipment in case you'd like to cook your own food and leave items in the fridge, or you can have the hostel cook your meals at modest prices.

Staff is amazing and the free wifi is great. The value is not though, neighboring backpackers charge even up to $10 less per night for dorm beds. Kalulu and Flinstones are better deals if only lacking free wifi.

Hi thanks for the comment all are welcomed.. we are sorry you felt that we don't offer value.. we thought with free internet and breakfast included for $12 that was good.. I have checked and you can't find a dorm in Lusaka for $10 less than us!..sorry.. Anyway, we accept that we can't meet everyone's expectations even though we try..

It was a fine place for one night. The bar was very loud however, and since I had a very early morning the next day, it was annoying. The fans in the room are great for some extra noise coverage though.

thanks for the comments, all suggestions are welcomed..sorry you felt the bar was loud, our policy is for it to close at 10 week days and 11 on weekends so we can try and let people enjoy themselves as sensibly as we can. We are in the process of building some new rooms at the back of the property so hopefully if you come see us again you can try one of those.

This place is meant only for youngsters in group for 1 or 2 days stay. There is no privacy. The rooms are incomfortable. No security in room.Toilets are far from rooms. Both ladies and gents use same bathroom. There is no telephone and no receipt is issued on purchase of lunch or dinner.

Hi thanks for the review, I believe this was booked for you in error.. when you turned up I understand it was not what you were expecting.. as such we were unable to live up to your expectations. . We have a wide range of age grps stay here and different numbers so to generalise is wrong. All rooms are lockable and have lockers inside them for your personal items, the toilets are at most a minutes walk from the rooms, unfortunately we dont have ensuite rooms yet.. as to telephone and receipts.. if you'd asked the staff are more than happy to allow use of the company phone for local calls. and we provide receipts should you require one for food.. Again sorry you didn't get what you expected from whomever booked for you.

Super friendly, very helpful. Plenty of space, and they keep it very clean. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner at not-exorbitant prices and they have a full bar (happy hour from 6-7pm) where a lot of Lusakans come and hang out. Generally a really nice, relaxing place where the wifi normally works. What more could you want? The $12 8-bed dorms are actually pretty nice - I stayed in one for 2 weeks.

Probably the best cheap place to stay in Lusaka. Had a double room that had a comfy bed and was spotless. Can be a little bit of noise in the evening but it dies down pretty much as soon as the bar shuts at 11. Some good, cheap food available and an excellent stall selling crafts for those emergency gifts that need buying...has a really good range of carvings, prints and jewelry. Taxi drivers around at all hours, James will give you a great price for all journeys!
