It was extremely noisy at night. Both nights there were load arguments outside our dorm window which woke and scared all of the women in the room. In one instance a prostitute had been brought back to the hostel by a guest. She was being mistreated and was screaming at the men to stop pushing her. It was a difficult situation to witness and disconcerting as well. There were also many locals at the bar area who would badger women staying at the hostel. It made several of us very uncomfortable.

Disappointed by the noise, and the fact that the hostel bar is open to all. I was in a log cabin, and although far away from the bar, was still kept awake by shouting, cars revving up, and a quite unpleasant altercation between a man and a woman who arrived in a car at 2am. Apart from that, all was good - nice food and friendly staff.

This was an absolutely fantastic stay. The staff were very friendly and happy to offer help any time of the day. The staff made our trip even more special. The grounds and facilities were spotless. Thankyou very much.

Dorm rooms were comfy and clean. Showers could do with some hooks to hang towels/clothes while in shower. Was woken in middle of night (maybe only 12:00am) by staff member verifying number of beds available - could have used a torch rather than switching on all of the lights! All of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful! Not a quiet hostel - a good party going on which was enjoyed by many. Stayed in the main building in the front room (right beside the bar) so may have been better

The staff at Lusaka Backpackers couldn't have been more fantastic! They were so friendly and willing to do anything to help - including taking our washing in on a rainy day! The atmosphere was really good - the bar area was great for meeting people. The only thing that let the facilities down were the showers - any more than one on at a time and the water ran cold or stopped! We will be back! Kirsty and Rachael xxx

I had a wonderful stay. I was sick, so I needed some place quiet. The quiet hours rules were appropriate and city services were so close that guests could leave for clubs or pubs in the late evening.

Loved this place. Its in a great central location, we could walk to Manda Hill shopping centre in a few minutes. They have a great swimming pool with sun loungers. The bar is really good we met loads of locals who gave us great advice for our trip, just hope they are right! And the food was cheap and good. We spent a lot of time in the shady gardens at the back of the building keeping cool during the day. We were really pleased with this place. We recommend anyone going to Lusaka to go here.

I would have loved to have free internet. Also it would be very nice if I could arrange a program before arriving.
