The hostel is difficult to find but the blame is on how the city is built! I had faced similar problem in Sevilla, Spain. The city of Luxembourg has a free wifi so use it to get to the hostel rather than have maps. I was lucky that a local showed me the way to hostel giving a city tour too!! The hostel is in itself very very very good!!

The hostel was really good. It was a little difficult to find. A first time visitor to Luxembourg doesn't know that there are multiple levels to the city. The breakfast could have had some eggs, something usually found in most other hostels and hotels I have been in. I had a really good time otherwise.

The hostel is really nice, for around 20€ we got a nice room with an amazing view to the castles. Stuff was very friendly and also the oppertunity for playing table tennis was nice.

Luxembourg City Hostel was absolutely luxurious. It is equipped with all of the features of a high class hostel. Internet, TV, a pool table and a fantastic restaurant are just a few of the services the hostel has to offer. The rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. The food was incredible (the salad bar probably saved my life) and the man who runs the restaurant was very personable. The location of the hostel is perfect, as it is close to all the major sites.

Great Hostel. The location is beautiful right next to the Bock Casemates. A short, uphill walk to the city center with lots going on there. The hostel is a little hard to find the first time, so follow the directions listed in some of the other comments. I would definitely stay here again.

I was staying two nights and heard that they were forcing you to change rooms after the first night. After hearing this I went to ask the receptionist if I could stay in the same room and she said it was no problem to stay and leave my bags. I came back later in the evening to find my key was not working. When I went to get it fixed, they told me I was supposed to change rooms and they had already checked in six more people into the room with all of my things. I was not happy.

The hostel is located down in the valley, so if you have a lot of baggage, it gets hard to walk up and down. I know, that directions on how to get to the hostel are poor, but it's not as bad as some people say. You just hop on the bus nubmer 9 or 14 and get out at the station called Plateau Altmünster, and you are practically there. The staff were amazing. They helped so much. They also speak english very good. The hostel does not have a usual hostel atmosphere, it sort of looks like a hotel.

There is no kitchen in the hostel, however the food at the restaurant is fine. The view from the backyard is spectacular.

good place, clean, safe,... although has more a simple hotel atmosphere rather than a hostel.

It is really a wonderful hostel. The staff is helpful. The facilities are easy to access. On the second night of stay they even had live footabll on TV in English! I watched it with some other football fans. The location is a bit hard to find for people arrive at first time in the evening but I am bad on directions.
