We enjoyed our stay here. We found you could walk everywhere you wanted to see from it's location. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom was very clean. The ceiling fan was enough to keep us cool. The family that owned the guesthouse was very kind and helpful. We checked out early, but we could leave our bags there while we went out for the day. A nice place to stay, all and all.

Family atmosphere, kind and friendly, and great location. However, make a wrong turn down the wrong alley, and easy to get lost, so get your bearings early on. Fairly narrow stairs to climb, so travel light. Will consider same again in future, especially with the family so nice and accommodating......

great! loved it here. great vibe and close to all the action, attractions and food. also just off the main party street in an alley so very quiet.

I did not like this place, 3rd floor no lift, ants in the room. When asking about local buses and how to get to other places to see sights, the girl said the bus prices at the station will be triple price and the homestay owner said she lied

Nice place, warm hosts *(this is certainly a guesthouse, not a hostel) good to spend the night. However, the girl that helped us couldn't speak in English and the lady in charge the next day gave us some bus fares that were a bit overpriced. In general good if you want a place to relax for a night

Wonderful staff who will always help you with anything to make your stay at Ly Loan and in HCMC most comfortable. Highly recommended place to stay in HCMC.

My wife and I found out she was pregnant while we were staying at Ly Loan. The family operating Ly Loan was just as excited as we were, which made the moment a bit more enriching. We also booked a bus to Phnom Phen through Ly Loan and the staff made sure we got the front two seats so my wife would be comfortable. This was a nice touch after a lot of walking around. The room was cleaned daily and we always felt safe, especially since they shut the gate after hours (but remain available).

Our first time in a backpacker guesthouse as a couple of 60 somethings. We were very pleased with level of accommodation for the price of $16 a night - clean, en suite, hot water, room cleaned each day, wifi, air conditioning and a fan, quiet and very helpful and friendly staff. What more can you expect for $16 a night. Highly recommend if on a budget.
