Good internet provision, good atmosphere, friendly & helpful staff. BUT Washing facilities were poor - no working shower(under repair?) on 1st (our) floor and the 2nd floor shower ran hot and cold. No sink plug could be found for our room. Bannister on steep 2nd floor stairs needs fixing - hazard. I'm not sure if I was allergic to the detergent or if there were bed bugs? But I have 10 mosquito bite looking itchy bumps on my arms from my one night's sleeping there. I think it was only me though- no one else seemed to have the same problem. Well is well located but this seems easy since Brugge is a small town. The room wasn't comforable at all and also wasn't clean. There was not much private and I found it very difficult to rest since you can hear what was happening in every room of the hostel. The people here are the nicest I have met traveling yet! It was my favorite trip so far of a semester stay in Europe, I'd recommend this place more highly than I can say! I definitely recommend this hostel. The stuff are really friendly and helpful. I met a few people in the hostel and we had an amazing time there. The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent, very simple but delicious. The hostel has a great location and less than 10 min. walk to the Markt...very well located and easy to find it. Apart from the staff being friendly, thats about all thats good with this place. The 4 bedroom dorm room I was in had mold growing from the ceiling. All I can say is "stay out of room 20!" "you hear me stay out!" unless of course mold is what you like to see when you wake up. Also NO hot water, not even luke warm.
