Overall I think this is a very good hostel, right in the city centre. I stayed one night in a room that wasn't renovated yet but still OK though, second night in brand new room, nice work! Breakfast is good for the price, staff friendly.

Good location, good price (compared with the other possibilitites), the room was renovated recently and was very beautifull. The building needs some work, it is quite old.

The hostel is good and nice, it was the firstest first time we live in hostel, but recommended place. People there were friendly :) the beer was tasty and breakfast also. Free wifi in our room.

We had two kind of rooms; the most recent ones, a little bit more expensive, but very nice. The oldest room our friends were in was also actually still pretty much OK considered the price and the fact it's a hostel. Nice staff, good people.

The hostel was easy to find, only a few minutes walking from the train station. The room (4beds) was small but very clean, and recently renovated almost like a hotel, very cute. People working there were friendly and helpful (and they seem to speak at least 4 different languages!), hostel bar was calm and cozy, breakfast ok. Would recommend Lybeer and will probably stay again!

First time I ever stayed in a hostel but I would recommend Lybeer for sure! The room was old (scheduled for renovation) but clean. Breakfast was good and well worth the € 4. I was particularly impressed with the charming people and with the surprisingly interesting beer tasting Friday evening. Great atmosphere!

I was only there for one night and absolutely enjoyed my time! 3rd hostel in Bruges I stayed at, and by far the best! Great staff they give you lots of extra information about the city, free discount card on attractions, free walking tours! Some of the facilities are old (they are renovating) but clean.

Amazing location - couldn't be beaten! Unfortunately renovations were on-going so it was quite loud during the day. We were put in a newly renovated room which was very nice but had some issues. First off, the room smelled strongly of paint - we were forced to keep the window open through the night for fresh air (very cold due to this). On top of this, the radiator didn't work even when put on the highest setting and there was no hot water in our room. I wouldn't go back during renos.

my single room was just renovated and it looked really cute. gonna be an excellent hostel once renovations are finished. but in my opinion it's already a very very nice place to stay a couple of nights, the people that work there are so kind and helpful, location is the best, i met such wonderful people at the beer tasting friday night (organised by the infamous Kai!) Thank you Lybeer for a great time, I'm gonna come back for sure!

i already stayed in bruges a couple of times before but this was by far my favorite hostel: not noisy (for me that's important), cool staff, best location (quiet side street just 1 minute off the centre), free activities, etc.. Recommended!

This place has lots of potential. Due to the construction work being carried out, we did not enjoy our stay here. The corridors are too dark. Our room stinks! The receptionist is friendly and nice though. There is bar in the reception area which is quite fun. This will be a good place especially after the repairs are done. For now, I would advise travellers to stay away if there is an alternative choice.
