We were not informed about the constructing which was going on in the hotel. We didn't have curtains, which was very inconvenient.

Friendly staff and excellent location, just a few minutes walk to the belfry tower. Some part of the hostel is being renovated so it's a bit messy here, but I think it'd be better look after the renovation. Kindly suggest the hostel hang a curtain for the room. :)

Could use to better organize events at night. Nothing on the weekly list was correct. And the €500 fee for food or alcohol in the rooms is just crazy. It is a hostel after all

This place is under a hugh renovation right now and it seems like it's gonna look great once it's all done. I stayed in one of the already renovated room and that was great. They haven't renovated the kitchen yet so it's kinda useless right now. The stairs are very steep and if you're on the 3rd floor (reception is on the Ground floor) like I did, it's quiet a challenge dragging all your luggage up there. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wifi is very good. So, overall it's worth the money.

The hostel was under construction but the room we were in was brand new and great. Once this place is finished it is going to be a very classy and affordable hostel. Great for all ages. The staff was really nice and everything was very clean in spite of it being under construction. I would most definitely recommend it as a place to stay in bruges. Has a lot of character too!

Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Common area closes too early. Breakfast too expensive if you still have to do your own dishes. Working in progress in the building DO bother guests and make staying a bit harder than it would be normally; even though they say it doesn't. They could have lowered the prices or offered some sort of compensation during this period, if they were interested on keeping guests. Unpleasant stay.

It would be better to have more than 2 showers.

Clean, but they are doing major construction on the building and there is a lot of dust and closed off areas. Few restrooms and the only showers/sinks were on top floor. Cubby-style beds reduce noise. Security is less than ideal, the doors only lock/unlock from the inside with a key, so the doors get left unlocked a lot. Outside door took many tries to open. Helpful staff. It seemed like the common room was a decent gathering spot in the mornings.

very helpful staff. funny atmosphere because of renovation. really enjoyed my stay in this simple and cosy single room. cool to have a sink in the room and the shower just on the corner of the corridor. the late breakfast was also really good. would probably come back for my next stay in brugge!

Good hostel in a beautifull building. still going through refurbishing but works are not noisy. Small downside was the shower on our floor. Too many people used it but I guess that will change when the refurbishment is done.

Ongoing construction work made an ideal hostel into a bit of a nightmare. Staff was nice and friendly.

we felt the potential of the place. However as renovation is not over, the kitchen is in a poor state and the stair and the lobbies under work. Everything should be smashing when finished. Staff very helpful. Very small bedrooms and bit noisy sometimes.

The hostel is under renovation, the rooms that are done are awesome and the upgrades ( new showers and washrooms ) are great. They have the construction areas tarped off but sometimes you smell a bit of paint or drywall dust in the halls. Overall very nice place to stay - walking distance from everything and right near a bus stop

The bathrooms at the ground level are old and dirty, the one on top is clean and good, but 3 toilets for 30 people are not enough.... Security issue: one person lost his baggage, in my case they cleaners forgot to lock my door after cleaning... The hostel doesnt not provide breakfast (you need to pay 4 euros) and at the end you need to clean the dishes in an very bad old small kitchen... Renovation is being done thus the situation of the common space (staircases, halls, etc) is poor...

Had a great stay in this hostel... location was excellent. Building under construction but it didn't take away from the character of the awesome 200 year old building. I have stayed in many hostels and this was definitely one of the more interesting ones...
