I stayed in a single room. The room was clean, there was an extra blanket in case. However, there was no curtain at all and no wardrobe. So I needed to keep my stuff in my bag. The staff were so helpful though; I arrived the hostel at about midnight and they even left my key and a free map in an envelop on a desk and told me the security code for the main door so that I could get in my room although there is no 24 H reception. Overall, I didn't regret staying there.

The hostel is under renovation. And the painting smells a bit. But the renovated room is clean and good. BTW. the WIFI is too difficult to find for my iphone on the top floor. And the location is great with reasonable distance to the attractions and railway station.

This is a very clean and nice hostel. It's between the train station and city center. On foot 10 minutes far to both. There are 3 wifi connection but none of them is reachable from my room that at 3rd floor. But you can get very fast wifi connection in the lobby that at ground floor. Showers and toilets are very clean. Only bad thing that I can say about here their rules. I mean the rules are not bad, the bad thing is fines those about 100 to 500 euros. It makes me very nervous.

I stayed in a 4 bed mix dorm. The hostel staff are friendly and helpful they also love to have a beer with everyone at night. The hostel is still undergoing renovations so there is some mess around but the hostel is still a great place to stay. The hostel is secure but could use lockable containers for your valuables. It's short walk from the central train station and from the centre of town. The bathrooms, common areas and dorms are clean and newly renovated. A good chilled place to stay.

Great hostel! Nice old building (reforming now), nice common area, good location, awesome dorms! After 15 months traveling, one of the places I liked the most!

Staff excellent. Location good. However, significant problems with the room. No curtains - and I did in fact lose my privacy (workman right outside window when I was dressing), the door handle to room came off twice, no showers on level (long wait to use on upper level), no hangers, and rubbish from last person left in room under sink. Staff apologetic - but to pay not only full price but 'Easter price' (!) for a substandard room shows lack of concern regardless of 'upcoming' curtain delivery.

Good Points: - location - nice and helpful staff - quite clean albeit renovation works in progress - normal price - free internet - breakfast not very expensive Bad points: - I knew about renovation works in progress, but nr. of toilets and showers wasn't enough - Not nice to have to do the washing-up with cold water after paying for a breakfast - The room probably has just been opened for Easter time, but still needed improvements - No lockers, neither in a common room Anyway I'd recommend

They are going through renovations when we stayed, which will be great once complete! BUT, it was very cold in the rooms, there were not enough bathrooms i felt and the walls were paper thin so you can hear everything going on! Great location & nice staff.

It's a nice place that offers you the best location in the city and also if you just want to relax inside, there is a warm and big living-room where you can drink a beer or a coffee and share your experiences with new people. The host - owner of the place is very kind and has lot of stories to tell you while you enjoy a beer.

The hostel was under construction, but it has a great atmosphere, very close to the centre!

it was still under renovation, with cables all around, no hot water in the room and a toilet without door in a 4-bed dorm that was temporarily set up for a couple weeks. Even though, I am pretty sure the staff is working hard to improve that, they're indeed good people I think.

Good place, was under construction as they were renovating it. If you go to the top floor you can get a glimpse of what it will look like in the future. The guy who works there is very helpful

It was value for money, but all the construction materials laying around did not add to the atmosphere! I took part in the Ronde van Vlaanderen, and had to get up at 5.45h. It would have been nice if the dining room would have been available for eating my home-made breakfast and having a warm cup of coffee.

Lybeer Travellers' Hostel is a magic place in the middle of the city centre. You will be attended by nice people, who will tret you as equals, and will be honest with you. They are now restorating the whole hostel, so it was a bit messy. But otherwise, the toilets and rooms where extremely clean. I totally recommend this hostel. If I come back to Brugge, I will definetely try to be hosted in this cosy Hostel.

My stay was really good. I was with the Lybeer Hostel for 3 nights and 4 days and they made me feel very welcome and the building itself although under much needed construction oozed character and atmospheric exuberance. Would definitely go back to this hostel without a second thought. However, i would like there to be somewhere i can lock my suitcase away.
