Such a fantastic little hostel. Had the coolest little cube bunk dorm, great activities on offer all in a really great little city. Perfect!

Best hostel we stayed at in europe. We stayed in the 4 bed dorm which is decently priced. It was quiet and comfortable with a kind of cool view as we were top floor. Great atmosphere to meet other people downstairs and we had a great 2 nights with people we met there. Staff is ok. Nice but not overly friendly. There is no elevator and the stairs are a bit dodgy and the shower floor floods kinda but everything else was nice and cheap great beer for happy hour in bar downstairs! Bruges is amazing

Awesome hostel. Great socialising atmosphere for lone travellers, great rooms and bathrooms, clean and nice staff. Bruges is stunning and the Belgian beer is even better.

This place was FANTASTIC! The staff is so friendly and the location was great! I met some amazing people because there was so much to do at the hostel! The bar downstairs is so convenient! There is also free coffee and tea, which was so nice! The bed was comfortable and clean, and the showers were great! I would highly recommend staying here!

I had a positive experience at the Lybeer Hostel and would certainly stay again. Everything was well maintained and clean, and the location was great. The hostel offered tea and coffee as well as a free tour of the city. The only downside was that the desk was not always manned, and I don't believe that the luggage storage had a lock.

This hostel is in a great location. Only 1 minute from the main shopping street and the main square. It was only a 10 minute walk from the train station too. The staff in the hostel were friendly and gave us a good bit of information when we arrived. Our room was clean, big and secure. The restaurant next door is amazing. We asked for a restaurant recommendation the second night and the staff member just told us to go to the main square. He could have been more helpful!

Hostel was great. Stairs can be loud with people coming and going. But clean room and bathrooms and helpful staff.

A decent hostel with average facilities.

Great hostel loved my stay here, the bar/common area is pretty luxurious and the location is perfect right in the tourist center. Staff are also great!

Easy to access and very clean. The people are very friendly and the kitchen is suitable for group cookout. Unfortunately the bed creaks everytime I move, very uncomfortable and loud.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very welcoming from the very beginning. The hostel was small and intimate, making it easy to meet people. The location was great as it was almost in the very centre of Bruges and you can walk everywhere!

The hostel is nice and close to town. I booked a double bed private ensuite and it felt more like a hotel than a hostel -- the room was spacious and the ensuite was clean, fresh and roomy. There weren't many people around in the hostel bar or lounge, but it may have just been because it was a quiet time of year being winter and right before Christmas.

It is a nice Hostel...but the shared rooms are kind of small...but the real problem are the showers..they have 1 in each floor so is the hostel is full you can end it waiting for a long time to take a shower...beside of that the hostel also have a bar with normal prices...Is a good choice for the money

Guy puked in my room. I wasn't happy

Owner Comment (Hide)
Hey there, sorry to hear about that, some people can't seem to hold their (Belgian) beer... Unfortunately there's no way for us to prevent people from doing so... Happens only very rarely though. Was that the reason you rated us only 66% and gave us a 2 for cleanliness? Cause wasn't our fault really. Most people rate us a lot higher and value the fact we like to keep things very very clean. Hope your next experience will be better, but really blame it on the guy, not on us! :-) Happy New Year!

Beautiful building in a convenient location.

I was in a 4 bed mixed dorm and it was so tiny. Absolutely no room to put our bags which was a pain. The staff at reception were okay but not too helpful or welcoming... More of a party hostel than I thought it would be which if you fine want that, you can still hear music late at night throughout the whole hostel. There were not enough power outlets in the room either.

not enough toillets and showers per floor.

Reception was never staffed. The stairwell is bound to kill someone some day with it's steepness and rickety railing. But the location is top notch, the drinks are cheap and they have great board games to bring together travellers from all over the world.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Hi there, surely you must be mistaking us for a different hostel. Reception never staffed? On average there are over 50 people staying with us every day, checking in or out, hanging out with us, or having a beer a the bar. Running this hostel wouldn't be possible without staff so we have NO IDEA what you mean to be honest :-) About the staircase.. we're in the medieval city center of Bruges, this is how stairs here look like, it adds to the charm of the house we believe. But anyway, merry xmas!
