Excellent hostel, kind and well-prepared staff, good breakfast, well-equipped rooms and good decoration. The environment is receptive and the pub in the basement is great!

Great location! Beds are very comfy! Hostel is clean and staff is very accommodating (asked for a late check-out and they were very cool with it). Will definitely come back! :)

The staff is very good and speaks English. The wifi is incredible and super fast. The location is close to the metro station although it might feel a tiny bit sketchy sometimes. Keep to yourself and it should be fine. Breakfast is not very special, simple and very basic.

Great place. They got a party bar with live music playing. Good staff, comfortable beds, and good breakfast. Really good place fortune price. Will come here again when I visit the city.

Wonderful, warm, friendly place to stay with welcoming staff and excellent, well-maintained facilities.

I just stayed for one night, in a 16 bed- dorm room. I appreciated the option of the 24h-check in, the facilities were comfortable and the complimentary breakfast complete and delicious! The location is also really convenient since the hostel is right in the heart of Montreal, within 5 minutes of the UQAM metro station and the main bus station as well. Overall, this is a really good hostel.

The neighbourhood was not the best. A lot of shifty people on the street.

Best hostel i've ever stayed at! They do everything right, the private room was just like staying at a nice hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay here. All front desk staff were good. Brittany and maria and tibuat where awesome. Only things i didnt like. Should have more then 1 toilet roll spare as 8 people go thru them quick. Some of the bar tenders were unfriendly and moody. Sure i didnt tip much but im backpacking. Surely they get that 11 months no income is tough... Overall would stay again had a fantastic time. Well done awesome job guys :-)

The hostel was incredibly clean and organized. The bar was cheap and the bar tenders were polite and fast! Everyone spoke English which was incredibly helpful for an Australian/American tourist. The staff often helped with giving clear directions. Location is near the metro and very cheap parking at the library. Clubs close by though are not great unless you love electronic music and heavy cover charges. Free breakfast was much appreciated! Would stay here again!

It was a really fun and welcoming stay at M. The area is good in regards of transportation, especially if you take the greyhound. An SAQ and a grocery store near by as well. Staff was welcoming and fluently bilingual. The street which the hostel is located is slightly sketch and not the prettiest, but everything makes up for this! They even have a guitar with which you can jam! Fun times. :D

This place is more like a hotel than hostel. Stayed in the 4 bed dorm and it was great. The mini fridge in the room is good for stuff you don't want to leave in the kitchen and with the metro around the corner it is well placed.

Lockers in the room are too small for putting your day pack in.

Hands down, this is the best hostel you can find anywhere in the world. The location is excellent, just a 12 minutes walk to the Old Port and Old Quarter of Montreal. Around you'll find lots of shops to buy food and other necessities. The hostel is extremely clean, bright and cozy. The kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you can imagine. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Montreal.

One of the nicest hostels I've stayed in. Staff were fantastic and lots of fun to hang out with on drinking nights. Rooms were very clean and modern. I'm pretty sure each room has it's own bathroom. Also kept very clean. New fresh towels daily. Breakfast was great. Atmosphere in bar area was also pretty bang on. I had a look at the HI Central and it doesnt compare to the M. Stay at the M! You won't regret it.
