Very fancy guesthouse compared to other places in Chiang Mai. Free internet room, swimming pool, nice bed and bathroom with soap included, also breakfast included! You get a lot for what you pay for, which seems to be the case in Chaing Mai! Would go there again if i'm not travelling budget :)

Nice place with good location. Friendly staff and helpful lady who booked some tours for us. Water pressure in shower was very low and beds were hard and uncomfortable. Overall was pretty good.

Really enjoyed our stay here! The location was spot on with easy access to loads of cool bars and restuarants. The staff were very helpful, in particular the lady organising the tours who was always there to answer questions, spoke good English and very competitive with price! The breakfast included in the price was a huge bonus as well especially as it runs until 11:30am. Loved having a pool just to chill out around which in quite unusual for a hostel/guest house. Would definitely return!

Breakfast was ok. Room was clean, but the place is huge and has no character. The staff is ok, but not everbody speaks English. It's pretty expensive for what it offers. If you are looking for party however, this might be a good place.

MD House is clean and modern with all that you need for a good stay - free internet (wifi and terminals), helpful staff, a pool, free breakfast and well proportioned rooms. The lady who runs the travel desk is particularly good, seeming to work all hours of the day and happy to help with any query, even if you're not booking anything through her. Breakfast isn't particularly good with very mean portions of muesli, but it's free.

MD house is a very nice place with lots of rooms in an ideal location of Chiang Mai. Tucked away off the main roads yet still a short walk to all the relevant sites, AND with a swimming pool, this is a very nice spot.

I'd rather say this location may pretend to be a hotel: swimming pool, payment (big hotels with the same class of service in the downtown of Chiang Mai offer better deals), fringe and a/c. Personal is polite and helpful. Most of rooms face auto parking which actually doesn't bother at all. It's said the hostel won 3rd prize as a best in Thai in 2009, since then everithing's become a little wear and tear.

Staff at MD House always helpful and happy to answer questions. Rooms all clean and well looked after, great location tucked away slightly from main street. Great information on tours, days trips etc.

Mosquitos in this town are awful, but this place in the 3rd floor, you're a little more shielded from them than average. Nice having breakfast included, and pool, great location. Main dislike is internet wifi doesn't work most of the time. It's really too bad. This place is better than Gongkaew Chiangmai Home, because you don't get eaten alive by mosquitoes and location is better.

the location was great for what we needed! all amenities were right there, the tour guide right at the front desk to book any and all excursions was awesome! friendly people, a good breakfast included in the price (which we werent expecting!). a wonderful, inexpensive spa right outside the place! a wonderful location, tucked away just enough from the busyness of the road!!

Good location. Breakfast was included each day. It was easy to extend your stay. The lady at the tour booking desk was awesome and friendly. Also they were really good with getting the laundry back to us quickly.

Great to have a pool to hang by in the afternoons. Location was good to the Sunday market - only a 5minute walk (if that) but night market was a wee bit further away. Hotel was clean and air con worked well. Wi Fi wouldnt work though so had to go down to reception to use it where the mossies ate you alive! The tour counter/lady was really helpful and got us the best deals (we compared them to the ones on the street). She also spoke really good english and sorted everything out on the spot for us

Wireless on 4th floor not working at all. Even in the lobby internet was not always working. Water flooding from sink on the floor. I was expecting more from this hotel.

A bit pricier than some of the other hotels in the area, but more facilities. Breakfast included is a bit small so you might need something else. Pool on site. Tour desk with helpful staff that can help you book tours. Great location right by the main gate. Everything seemed clean but the best part was the computer room with free computers to use, but be careful of putting in a usb drive, mine got a virus!

Chiang Mai during High Season can be a tricky place to find something, so very pleased to find MD house available. As ever the photographs present the place in a very generous light. Rooms (even the superior ones) are very plain with lighting more suited to a hospital, however they were very clean. Fridge was a bonus. Bathroom was spotless with clean with towels, although showers were iffy with temperature and pressure. WiFi did not work but lots of PCs available. Very helpful staff.
