Great hostel to stay! We loved staff member SINA who was super nice in advising us! Might not be the best choice for people that are travelling alone because it might be more difficult to meet people, as the hostel is quite big and not many people are hanging out in the bar.

This is a well located, good value for money hostel. I was impressed with the level of cleanliness and the excellent continental breakfast, a bargain at 4,50Euros. The staff were friendly and helpful, there was one in particular who really stood out in terms of how helpful she was. The only downside of this hostel was the number of teens staying there and the noise level that comes with this. Packing hear plugs will take care of this.

Hostel is in a nice area right next to a U-Bahn station. Also, walking to Museum Island is doable. A bit of a walk, but doable nonetheless. The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff was helpful. If you want a relatively quiet stay in a hostel that has families, young adults and school children, this is the place. If you are looking for a hostel with a social life where you meet tons of fellow travelers, I suggest a different hostel.

Great location, firendly staff, cosy rooms, comfortable beds and excellent bathroom. Really worth the price (which is not so high anyway)!

I really enjoyed staying at Meininger in Prenzlauer Berg. I had a lovely room with a great view on the 7th floor. The staff was very helpful. The hostel has just the right size, not too big and not too small. A lot of choices at the breakfast in the morning. There were quite a few good restaurants in walking distance around the hostel and I was even able to catch some live music at a pub also in walking distance.

I had booked a single. Got a 4-bed ensuite instead. Don't know whether that's normal, but all the more space for me. :-) Good bathroom. Helpful staff. Good Wifi connection in the lobby. Very good location right by an underground station. Buffet breakfast (4 €) isn't worth it. The restaurant area was occupied by several school classes in the morning. Defintely hostel style - not hotel.

Despite it was a last-minute choice, it was great price vs. location vs. service. I didn't even dream a hostel would give you the possibility to park right outside the hotel with a ticket (there are many parking places around it). The ticket is 10 eur/day. The watch out is though to ask clear information. We got a note on our car that seems more like a warning for having parked wrongly (still don't know if it's even a fine) despite having the ticket from the hostel on. I would totallygo back!

Mind your staff, they are without a doubt your best asset, only one gripe, your web site suggests going to Alexander plats from Shonefeld airport and then change to the U2, infact it is a lot easier to take the S9 to Shonhauser then the U2 south, hope to see ye again soon. Gleigh

Very good hostel on a great location near some great clubs, Bassy and White Trash and a very cosy bar called Whiskey and Sofa. Very nice staff also. Certainly value for money. We would certainly come back.

Entrance card hadn't work not only for me but also girls in room told they have each now and then go to the reception and solve that problem.

I stayed in one of the private singles at Meninger Prenzlauer-Berg, and I could not have been more satisfied. The privacy/cleanliness/comfort of the room was everything I expected, and then some. The added convenience of the facilities (kitchen, washer/dryer, late night coffee bar) really made my stay. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a little more than your average hostel stay, and will definitely be using Meninger again.

This hostel is very clean which was lovely, the rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day which makes such a big difference! The bathrooms were also great. It's a comfortable hostel with everything you need including kitchen, laundry and large common area. It's located very close to a station, making getting around really easy. Beds are comfortable and my only complaint would be that it costs a lot to have wifi in the rooms, however it is not a problem as it is free in the common area.
