It was shabby and in need of sprucing up. It smelled musty as well. But it was quiet and we all had a fantastic sleep which was important to us. Parking was difficult.

Had a lovely time in this hostel. The staff were friendly, always willing to help. The hostels location not too far from the main city, and one of the main streets of bars.

Very disappointing. Considering the hostel's near the student part of town, it was very quiet, which made it nigh on impossible to meet people.

I was very impressed with Meininger Cologne. I liked the location: easy to reach from the city centre, and plenty of good bars and restaurants in the area. The room was very spacious for one person, clean and well-equipped. It represented excellent value for money.

City centre, main shopping district & train station) is about a 15-20 minute walk from here. Nearby there are loads of restaurants. I didn't partake in the breakfast at all, 6ish euros a day for breakfast seemed a bit silly (for more than a day or two). The staff was super helpful! The lift was a bit scary, and I was a little surprised by the state of the shower in my room, it could have been better (there was a fair bit of mold, even on the shower head itself). Other than that, I loved it!

Worst location, the hostel is very hard to get to and find. It was extremely cold, the heater doesn't work. When we asked to change a room, the staff said the heater in every room need one hour to warm, but it didn't work the whole night. The room is on the roof, the old elevator's machine seems on the roof and so noisy. It was the worst meininger hostel I have been in, however, other meininger hostels are pretty good.

It's a bad hostel, but it compared to others, it falls kinda short. The staff were pretty ambivalent and overall pretty unhelpful. Otherwise it's your standard stay in a hostel.

These guys are very understanding although I paid deposit amount unfortunately i couldn't show up and thought i will be charged 100 percent amount fee due to special fair trade in germany after my cancellation request was requested. I am very delighted to see that I wasn't charged 100 percent fee and will definately look for booking next time here due to kind approach shown towards me. Thank You

The hostel is very clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. One of the receptionist was very helpful and kind to help me find a mosque close to the hotel. The bathroom had some smell so it would be great if this problem can be fixed. There is a free Wi Fi internet in the rooms which was awesome as well. Thank you :)

Not terrible, but wouldn't recommend. My room (4 person dorm although I requested 8 person) was so small that only one person could stand/walk around at a time. The staff were friendly but gave me misinformation on 2 occasions. The hostel bar area looked nice, but was never staffed. The location isn't great - a 20 minute walk to the tourist sights. The whole hostel looked like it hadn't been cleaned or updated in about 15 years. Again, not terrible or unsafe but wouldn't recommend.

Good clean hostel, nice staff. Great value for your money. Minor complaint: internet is very spotty, even in the lobby where it's supposed to be strong.
