The hostel was nice and more like a hotel since it had pool tables, a reception area with wireless and computer access, and a small cafeteria. The location is 15 minutes from the main station-Hauptbanhof and 25 minutes from Marienplatz, the city center. The overall feel of the hostel was nothing great, but a good place to sleep for a night or two.

We enjoyed our stay at Meinnger Hotel in Munich. It was a short train ride to the main station (one stop) and two stops from the City Center Plaza. It was very clean and the couch in the room was very comfortable.

Meinenger was the perfect choice for my trip to Munich! Came here with a few friends for a weekend to see the Christmas markets, beerhalls & just enjoy Munich! The room was VERY clean with lots of light! The staff was incredibly helpful in showing us where to go! The lobby was a great hangout place, complete with free WiFi. Location is a definite plus as well! Only a few stops or a short walk from the Main train station Haupbanhof. You would be silly to stay anywhere else in Munich!

Not far away from the city center and the central station, but we prefered to use tram. Big and clean rooms, helpful staff. Free wi-fi only in the lobby, what was strange, but ok, cause there were comfortable sofas and bar.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was kind in helping us find a church for mass on sunday. The rooms were pretty clean. We were disappointed that the hot breakfast was so expensive, so we did not get it. But overall, we liked Meininger and really enjoyed Munich.

a bit far from the city center but walkable. they have a nice lounge area on the first floor with a bar and all. the breakfast was good but you had to pay an extra 4 euros for that.

I had an issue with the room I was in and the staff was very helpful and kind in getting it resolved. I really appreciated it and felt they took my needs and comfort very seriously.

Tip: if you are over 20, I wouldn't recommend you to stay at Meininger hostel. Our private room was OK, but the hostel in general is designed for teenagers, and there are always crouds of them downstairs. Walls and doors are very thin, you can hear everyone in the corridor. The street is noisy. And it's really a long and boring walk from the Main Station: about 15 minutes.
